Thanks.

The end of the film "Sound of Music" is an anti-climax - ends by just walking over a big hill

The brass band piece by Granville Bantock - "Prometheus Unbound" is an anti-climax - ends quietly

The thrill of victory at the end of each is sadly lacking!

Spiraling down in a downward spiral, the closer you reach bottom the faster you seem to be going. There is no chance to turn back until you actually hit bottom. Some anti climaxes are easy than others all depending on how far you have to fall.
Here's me hoping that never happens to you or anyone. That's something no one needs.

anti-climax means no ending or lack of ending.

The feeling would be lost or misplaced wondering aimlessly not being able to complete would lead to feelings of uselessness or not feeling self worth.
