when i look at persian calture i can't see anything but kindness....iranian were the first people who wrote human rights in a time that europe had name of (wild europe) and they showed wisdom to the world .politics are telling us lie. have a journey to iran to see the reality.

300 is based on a graphic novel, it is somewhat a fantasy. This is for artistic purposes not political or cultural reasons.
Anyways, if you want a more historical account rent or buy the 1961 movie "the 300 spartans" IMHO its way better.
Its just the truth historically though, the spartans were way better soldiers because their army was well trained and all of them were professional soldiers. They were not slaves. Persians were the conquering force, they were like Hitler conquering Poland, Czechoslovakia and so on. They were an invading force. I dont know what culture youre talking about, maybe pre-islam Persians, but today, LOL, they are backward militant fascists. The area now called Iraq and Jordan and syria has a long past, the first recorded civilizations and written language for one. They must have been pretty lacking in moral convictions to so easily accept Islam.

Let's keep in mind, and this is if you don't know, that Iranians are really the true Aryans. I know plenty of your modern day Iranians, and most of the men I met think that they are better than me. And I don't get it twisted either, they look down on Africans. Here in America I work with them and they all think they are better. This thing you're talking about them being kind is perhaps for some of them, but the majority of them that I have met are far from being kind. They are a bunch of arrogant magots. And for you to say that they are the first ones to write human rights is a far far CRY from the truth. And don't give me that crap about you being from there either because there are plenty of Americans that claim to know American history but when you ask them something simple they have no clue. And I can see by the statement about the first ones to write humans rights that you haven't done research on WORLD HISTORY. And the knowledge you do have on Iran seems like you're mixing some of your emotions with it which is causing you to stray from the truth.

But the Persians did invade Greece.
Muslims invaded Europe. But they also brought wide spread literacy to Europe.
History is full of conquest. The Persians were not all good or all bad, and the Muslims were not all good or all bad. Even their enemies found both good and bad results to their invasion.

The film is horrible. An extravagant, self-indulgent, violent engorgement for people who love hating.
Iranians are beautiful people who have shown compassion and resiliency over many millenia; their culture remains after all others have fallen, including Greece and Rome.
This movie should be stopped, or disclaimers included and all profits sent to Iran as penance for attempting to spoil their reputation.

Long story short----No matter what group of people you come from, there is blood on your hands and a dark dirty history behind it....It is nice to look and the positive sides of a persons ancestors but it is always sugarcoated....Dirt is dirt and blood is blood and it is on everyones hands. No group is innocent.
