This is a pretty ambiguous question, because there really isn't enough info, however, I can tell you what you need to do to work it out.

1. first of all you need to either ESTIMATE how much 1 m&m weighs, and then work out how much a whole bag weighs (If you buy a bag you'll be able to weigh one yourself)

2. Say you work out that there are 200 m&m's in the packet. You have to count up how many different colours there are, lets say, brown, blue, red, yellow, green. You have to assume they are equally distributed (that is, there is a machine that pumps these things out in equal numbers)

3. So for this example there are 200 M&Ms and 5 possible colours. So we assume there are 200 divided by 5 = 40 of each colour

And thats it... but you'll need to numbers of M&Ms in one bag and also how many colours there are...

So go and buy some :) What are you waiting for!!

If I were you, I would buy a million bags and then count the M&Ms. That would give a very stable statistical result, plus a delicious reward at the end for all your hard work!

They randomly spread out the colors of the M&Ms into the bags. There is NO WAY to calculate how many are in each bag.

WHY NOT GO TO THE STORE AND BUY SAY THREE BAGS ? IF THE NUMBER IS THE SAME , GOOD FOR YOU. IF IT'S NOT , YOU'LL HAVE TO BUY MORE OR CALL THE COMPANY OR APPROXIMATE THE RESULT.
