Absolutely. If it had been a Black man or a Latino, they would have swarmed the campus and taken him down. He was gracious enough to leave a blueprint to a death sentence for his 32 victims, and that would have been more than enough to bypass a trial and just plead guilty and beg for mercy from the court. And, thanks to his graciousness, mates of his now have an opportunity to come out of the wood work and look for sympathy for themselves, fearing they may find themselves the target of racial profiling. How fortunate for them, isn't it? 32 people get killed for no reason by a psychotic stalker who wasn't even cared for by his own parents, and some people still try to swing the attention to themselves. America has been on elevated terror alert for 6 years, and more and more lunatics are showing up every day to kill Americans, and the flags are at half-mast more often than not. There are those who stand on soap-boxes and preach and scorn and ridicule Americans, all the while feeling so safe hidden at their PC, and not thinking of how they are being bigots themselves, and just point fingers and quack. Well, here's a sod off salute to those who forget that America is the land of the free and the home of the brave. You don't have to agree with Americans all the time, I don't myself, but you damn well better respect them. You'd better recognize.

Have you ever read about the incident that happened at Columbine High School?
Two teenagers killed a teacher and 12 students and then they killed themselves. Why?
Mainly what i think it was, suicide. There could be hundreds of reasons why Cho Seung-Hui killed himself and 33 other people. The guy was silent. He didn't have any friends. And when anyone talks to him, he doesn't reply. He is an English Major and a senior at VTech.
Maybe if you had read his story, it might answer your question.
It can be found on www.thesmokinggun.com

well of course yes he did think it was the easy way out, but I think from THE START he wanted to kill his self.
I also think he told someone that to, but the more he thought about it he wanted to take the person or persons down with him. The reason used the word person is, because he may have started out to kill one but once he got so angery and thought about all the other things that went along with the problem he just went on a killing spree, because it had to be something that everyone was picking on him about so he decide to get as many people as he could to go down with him.

He was not a happy person and didn't want to live anymore. At 20 something he had about 60 miserable years ahead of him, so I'd say yeah, putting an early end to his pain was the easy way out.
Why he had to take so many others with him, I don't know. (Even the teachers at that school knew he was troubled. Something should have been done to help him.)

YES I DO!
The cops should have shot him in both knees and then taken him to prison then tie is hands to his ankles and put him in a cell with the biggest man in the world!! Then someone should have taken him outside after a month of the "big man" and shot him hundredths of times until there was nothing left!!!
Just because you hate yourself don't put everyone else and their familys in misery!
GOD BLESS VIRGINIA TECH!!!!!!!

Dead is dead whether you blow your brains out, get a lethal injection or go to the electric chair.
In killing himself, the VT gunman eliminated even the remotest possibility of finding out the "why" behind his actions.
That said, knowing why he did it will never bring those people back.

Yeah, he missed out on becoming a celebrity. He would have had movies made about him. He could have written a book. Liberals would have stood up for him. Jesse Jackson could have had a "Save Tookie!" march. He could have been famous!
