The 1996 Yankees won the series and went on to win 3 more in the next 4 years.
The 1986 Mets won 1 world series... barely... because of a Bill Buckner error.
And never got close again.
You're comparing a dynasty to a team that should have lost that series in 6 games if the Sox had a better manager.

I am a yankee fan, but i have to take the 86 Mets on this one, Mets where much deeper. Yankees had Kenny Rogers in 96 for pete's sake. the 1998 yanks, now that was arguably the best team of all time 114-48

Yankees are extra valuable. they have struggled because of the fact of injury issues and in simple terms a sprint speeding reliable youthful pitchers into their first finished seasons and having severe expectancies. Plus Yankees have been by no ability a super number of a warm-beginning team yet they constantly turn it on interior the 2d 0.5 and that i assume it to take place back now that the lineup is wholesome, the rotation is exceptionally settled, and the bullpen is pitching nicely (Rivera is a beast!) Mets finished team is underachieving exceptionally plenty, and inspite of their enormous acquisition pitching nicely(Johan Santana) they nonetheless can no longer even get wins for him!

They both won the world series, so I guess that pretty much makes them equal.
