Well, from personal experience, I'm late because i procrastinate until the last minute and then i end up having to move the time that i originally had to be there. I know it does get annoying when people constantly aren't showing up or not calling at the time that they say they will. But honestly, you shouldn't personalize it.... if a person or a group of people are constantly late it's there problem and they just don't know how to move any faster. I hope i gave you a little insight.

I truly believe that some people are so "self-centered" that they can't see things from anyone's point of view but their own. Unfortunately, when people are so busy trying to meet their own needs and wants in life, they have very little brain matter left to think about the needs and wants of others. If I know that someone is consistently late, I frequently make a point of not bothering to be on time, either.

Some people are simply like this. They are always late, never call when they say they will. If you must deal with someone like this; my guess is you would come to the understanding of what is reality. At least their reality. When they say one time expect at their normal late, when they say they will call; don't hold your breath and go on with life. This is more about who they are as a human being then who you are. It has nothing to do with you unless you are the only recipient of this behavior. My guess is you are not. God bless****

Tell them a story something like this. My grandmother was one of those old ladies that would slap you into next year if you messed up. Even my grandfather felt it. He came in late for supper one night and found the dog eating his dinner. She looked at him and said thought you didn't want it, we started 30 minutes ago. The old man got him an cup of coffee and left the kitchen.
Analogies work that is why philosophers use them. Try something like this. Hope this helps.
