Sure you can, left click & Drag on the text to highlight it, then right click on the highlighted part, then click copy. You can then paste the text into Word.

Depend on your Pdf files.
Some Pdf disable their copy text feature, so you can't copy their text.
To check your Pdf files security, click Document - security.

To copy text from pdf (assuming your pdf allow you to copy their text) , click 'Select Tool' in the toolbar or Open Menu : Tools - Basic - Select, select the text you want to copy, right click and choose 'Copy to Clipboard'
