If you look at stats for teen/underage sex and pre-marital sex it seems that only a tiny minority of the young are socially conservative.
In 50 years time will the promiscuity and failed marriages of, for instance, the Hollywood libs be the norm for the rest of society?

Conservativism is dying out. I blame bad parenting, lower moral standards and TV.

I think you have the wrong slant on the state of marriage and the increase in divorces.
There were just as many troubled marriages and promiscuity going on in society prior to the invention of the big screen. People in bad marriages suffered silently because divorce was a social taboo. Women were so dominated by their husbands, many were treated as property. Many state laws even backed up that notion.
The movie screen removed that notion. People learned that it was not necessary to suffer the injustice of a bad marriage. It removed the social stigma associated with divorce.

No I think most kids grow up to regret many of the bad decisions they made as teens and turn a new leaf. Also I think that people have always been the same but social standards are changed effecting the outcome of such studies. Fifty years ago kids would have lied and said they were virgins. Now kids lie and say they are sexually active to fit in.

I don't think so.. statistics are an imperfect system. You can manipulate them so it sounds exactly what you want to see and hear. The media is notorious for asking questions that can only make you give one answer.. its their system of lies and hate towards conservatism.
I know a lot of 20 and 30 year olds that once settled down become conservative because their parents were so liberal and they didn't want their kids to have the same screwy upbringing.

Sorry, but this already has happened. It began in the 1960's.
Hollywood promiscuity (and perversions) were evident from the 1920's on. Look up Fatty Arbuckle.

According to a report I read recently, their is actually less sexual activity under age 18 now, than there was in the 1960's. I wish I could remember where I read it.
