i have been learning drums for three months but still i dont know how to play properly.

There is plenty to learn.

Get a different teacher.

practise makes perfect. you cant expect to be great after playing only a short while. gotta start at the beginning and work up at it. practise your stick work- rudiments and co ordination. if you can play the beat right handed try playing it left handed.. try letting the weak hand lead (if you have a weak hand) try getting the feel of your sticks using the bounce of the cymbals and drums to your advantage. if you cant read music try and learn how to it does make things alot easier and tell your drum tutor of a way he/she can teach you that you will understand and be able to learn from

soak up information by listening to and watching footage of drummers from all styles of music. You are your own greatest teacher.

Progressive rock and jazz\fusion were very helpful genres for me when learning about complex time signatures.

Buddy Rich, Bill Bruford (Yes, King Crimson) , Neil Peart (Rush), Christain Vander (Magma) , Keith Moon (The Who, listen very closely to the end of Love Rein o'er me!)... These are a few drummers who I learned much from just by listening..
