I think you should extend that to EVERY office building in the UK/world.

They are easily the worst out of the lot - all of that paper, plastic cups, hundreds/thousands of workers food packaging which is just binned without a second thought each day...

Think of all the recycling that could be done there - but do any of these business care or do anything? Hell f*cking no!

The strange thing is that, at least here in Canada, it depends where the fast food outlet is. In stand alone outlets there are no recycling bins I've seen, there are takeout and drive-thru and a number of eat in customers. In a mall with a food court with the very same fast food outlets there are recycling bins. I'm not sure if that is because the majority of people eat the food on the premises or because of the way a mall handles it's waste products as compared to a stand-alone franchise.

The thing is in the USA most of the stuff that is supposedly to be recycled ends up at the dump anyway so there is really no reason to add recycling bins to fast food restaurants... because how will we know if the stuff will actually be recycled or trashed?

The main reason that stuff goes to dump instead of being recycled all stems off of money... it costs more to recycle something then to just throw it away

quickly nutrition eating places' significant objectives is to make the nutrition on the instant and take orders from as a lot of human beings as achievable. no longer in ordinary terms could recycling boxes be extra extreme priced to the quickly nutrition eating place, even yet it can be a "waste of time". something that could decelerate the time that they are waiting to make the nutrition could be considered a bad concept. many all people is too lazy to form with the aid of their trash and recyclables and to form them into the appropriate boxes. The eating place could then ought to handle getting rid of the recyclables to recycling businesses.

They try to a certain extent.. like glass only containers but people after finishing a meal are not in the mood to separate their garbage. You got the paper.. and then the paper with food in it.. and then you got the food alone and the cups and straws. I suppose you could probably do this in Marin County and Berkeley they are pretty much nuts anyways.

That would be very nice, for someone who respects the environment. But there will always be people who don't care about that kind of stuff, so it wouldn't work to the fullest extent.
