I am lucky to have learnt bulgarian, french, spanish and partly Arabic...its a great reward when they kick in the business and your communication skills are always improving. Socializing with someone in French is like 1,2,3...seriously...you feel really good about yourself. The one language i couldn't bring myself to learn was German...pity...my teacher always thought i was crap so maybe that's what discouraged me.

I'm can get by slowly in Haitian Creole as a consequence of being an immigration attorney, but I would never call myself fluent.
