Ausblue, I've never drank alcohol. So have not had to stop.
It just never held any appeal for me.
I've had a couple of family members whom were full blown alcoholics - what a tragic waste their lives were.
I do feel for anyone, who is trying to quit smoking, drinking, drugs, gambling or any one of a number of other addictions!
And they have my full encouragement.

I only have a social drink once in a while. And it's usually a glass of wine. One maybe two the most when I go out .

Ausblue, I gave up smoking ten years ago and thank the Lord for that, but I still like to have a few beers here and there.

oh hell no-
you can take my freedom but not my rum and coke...... grin
actually i dont drink all that much but do like a drink to unwind and let down my hair every now and then... perhaps a nice glass of shiraz with a nice meal as well.

Yes I have. I got a liver disease when I was a teenager. That's pretty good incentive.
