The link is self explanatory. My question is, after so much evidence is laid before you, how can people still claim the bible is "only" about love? Before you try to claim I don't know what the bible says, I know it by heart as when I was a Christian up until the age of 18, we were taught this in sermons, sunday school, and vacation bible school. Even the priest couldn't answer simple questions like "Why were the babies heads dashed against rocks with the praise of God for what grown men who should have known better did?" He replied with "God is never unjust and the bible is the word of GOd". I simply looked at him and thought to myself "Boy, I sure am glad you're not allowed to have kids".

Birth of any female is a loss: Ecclesiasticus 22:3 "....and the birth of ANY daughter is a loss" (From the New Jerusalem Bible. It's a Roman Catholics Bible).

Whatever that word means, Apocalypse and it's not even in the Bible, for all care - if you read the Bible all four gospels present Jesus Christ having died and rose again the third day. It is a new thing you bring in my ears, that he never died. I am familiar with the lie that he never rose (though the bible proves he did), but now you bring some strange things in my ears!!!!!

I will ask you to read not the entire Bible, that might confuse you, but just read the four gospels again and again. May be let me make your life a little easier, since you seem to be familiar with it, just read the last three chapters fo all the four gospels and you will see for yourself the truth in black and white. From Judas' betrayal, Peter's denial, the trial before Pilate, the carrying of the cross and his scourging culminating with his crucifixion and subsequent death - to which the soldier observing these things happening proclaimed, "Truly this was the son of God."

For the record, Jesus died on the cross and rose again the third day according to the scripture. If Christ did not rise from the dead, then we are still in our sins and have made God a liar - for we asserted that he rose Christ from the dead. But now Christ is risen from the dead.

>>Before you try to claim I don't know what the bible says<<

How about you back up the claim you made earlier, that the Bible says "the very birth of a girl is a total loss"? Why don't you give us the book, chapter, and verse so we can see for ourselves?

EDIT: I can't find the New Jerusalem Bible online; here is Ecclesiasticus 22:3 in the KJV: "An evilnurtured man is the dishonour of his father that begat him: and a FOOLISH daughter is born to his loss." (emphasis mine)

How can you deny the bible, and believe a scroll that wasn't approved by the early christians as being acceptable. All of the scrolls that didnt make it into the bible were forgeries written by pagens trying to get their beliefs into the Christian religion. The early christians sniffed this out, and didnt put those books in. God killed babies, because they were the children of fallen angels. He didnt want to pollute the gene pool of humans with demons. That is the reason for the flood too.

God is love, and that Love is to be found in His Son, Jesus Christ, or Yeshua.
You can still know the Bible by heart and memory, but if you do not know the Lord personally, by being re-birthed by the Power of the Holy Spirit, then you do not know Him. For to know Him, you must be born again.
The priests of the Roman Catholic Church know not the Lord, they only think they know Him, due to their ceremonial traditions, and beliefs. The Lord said "you will know them by their fruits".
I was raised a Baptist, and I accepted Jesus in my life when I was just 10 years of age. But I did not know Him, I knew of Him, through the Bible but I did not know Him, until I was 28 yrs of age. For I truly became born again by His Holy Spirit, not by the letter of the word, but by His Spirit. And now I know Him. And when you come to know Him, by being born again by His Spirit, then the truth will set you free.
So if you desire to know Him, seek Him out, cry out to know the truth. For the Lord said that whosoever seeks Him, shall find Him.
I shall pray for you.
May Yeshua bless you with His Spirit of truth, and bring you to repentance and the saving knowledge of His Grace, through His shed blood upon the cross for all sins. Then and only then will the Peace of G_D be within and without.
Shalom

Does it?

Even a newly-converted atheist like me, who knows his bible well, must really ask if the bible says that Jesus never died on the cross.

Confusion, confusion -- it's all confusion!

simply put -when you wont believe simple truth-you wont believe simple truth! the bible predicted and confirms Jesus died to forgive our sins. Jesus said to love everyone-not the way Mohamed did a 9 year old little girl named Aisha marrying her at 40 years old according to their Hadith. the prophecies of Jesus says that He will be despised and rejected. While the Muslim says they believe Jesus is the sinless Messiah who will return to judge the earth-they reject his words for Salavation -so shine for Jesus and share his truth-I have helped as messiah says to do many muslims and many of my Jewish people to know the Messiah=the Messiah loves you heart and soul-and said to go to all the world and share the gospel. He said if they hate me they will hate you too. You have the joy of salvation and the joy of heaven-why wouldnt the others be jealous. They will say all kinds of stuff-some even say the Messiah never came and does not exist today-Millions and many here prove daily he does and is our true friend too.
He gives us the power to love those that hate us and say they are our enemies.

This is what I have to say from prophecy written before our messiah and predicting him perfectly-I say this to others to help them believe

from Adam and Eve we looked for the one to shed his blood for our sins-from their fur covering for the sins of mankind when blood was shed by God to cover them pubicly
Would you ever consider believing Moses or Isaiah?
Moses said without the shedding of blood there is no atonement for sins. Levitiucs 17:11
Isaiah said "He will be despised and rejected. He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins. All we like sheep have gone astray, and the Lord will make to light on him the iniquity of us all. He will die with the wicked and be burried with the rich."

Just say maybe one day I will believe the Jewish prophets and become Jewish according to the Jewish Scriptures-for now I just pray for you and since G-d defines who a Jewish person is, I chose to believe Him. Yeshua said If you have seen me you have seen the Father. I and my Father are one. He is either the Messiah or the biggest liar that ever lived. I believed the former now he is my Jewish messiah and best friend.
Hang in there friend OK? thanks, Shalom=peace Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a child will be born, a son given, and He will be the almighty God, the prince of peace." look up the golden mosque bombing by the Shiite and Sunny muslims in January of 2006 and the vengence of dragging each others Immans out into the street and murdering them and blowing up their mosque in return, they didnt get that from the voice of Jesus -who says to love your enemies, repent of sin and be born again. Believe that the Bible is true, thanks for your question too.

1. Yes, you really DON'T know the Bible.

2. Have you heard of the principles of hermeneutics? One of its basic principles is, "Each text must be read in its context".

Are you sure?

Or are you like the lying scribes adding to and taking away from scripture.

You are to seek out salvation for yourself...not try to lead others astray.
