The bible is interpreted in many ways. Just look at the hundreds of xian denomination currently operating in the world. The bible is like a cafeteria you pick and choose when and what you like to your own preferences. Sadly still many people belief it was really written by some gods.

Haha... bongernet never fails to irritate me... Anyway, I think any good book can be interpreted in different ways. Any book that truly makes you think about life, death, and the afterlife is going to cause some debate. I see what you're saying... but I think the problem is that a lot of people who quote the Bible (especially the "pick 'n choose" people) didn't actually read it themselves. They're just repeating. The other problem is the translations themselves... how can we even know those are correct? When reading the Bible, you should keep these questions in mind: (1) Did the person who translated MY Bible translate it correctly? (2) Have I read the verse IN CONTEXT with the story, or am I using this particular verse to back up the way that I feel? (3) Did I delve into this verse already assuming what it meant, or have I opened my heart and mind enough for the story/scripture to speak to me?

We Christians agree to the exisstence of God but the way how the sentence is interpreted varies. Some believe not only on the teachings on the bible but to their own belief of traditions and culture so with superstitious belief.

I dont think that there are any poems. As for metaphors they are all explained at some point in the bible. If you study it you can refer back and know what it means. Like it says at some point that Israel is gods fig tree. Then later on it will talk about the fig tree. so its talking about israel. If someone just looked at the verse it wouldnt make sense.

Because, disagreeing means the bible is wrong. They would rather risk their sanity then to disagreeing with their god.
Anyway, they ARE interpreted in many ways, as it suits their own purpose.
