Provided that there was no earlier form of Baptism performed by someone else on the Catholic man then yes this can be done, and he will still be Catholic and able to recieve Holy Communion once all the conditions are met.

Water Baptism? Is this something similar to what the Hindus
do by taking a dip in the river Ganges to become pure?

darling..Baptism is a requirement of God..You should moreso be concerned over being a true child of GOD..instead of being concerned over wearing a religious title..Look up this Church name...CHURCH OF GOD..It is located under church..and the subtitle of CHURCH OF GOD..There is one in every city..They will baptise you by fully submerging you into water the way Jesus was baptized..(not the sprinkling on the forehead)..The sprinkling of the forehead was started by some people who preferred to be sophisticated in Church, (by now getting too wet)..love and peace

Better late than never. What is important is that he must have faith in Jesus as the Savior, prior to getting baptised.

I'm not sure I understand your question. You can't be Catholic UNTIL you are baptized, and you can be baptized only once.
