I just saw a question about the treatment of captives of war. This explains it nicely, and I especially liked the 2nd part of it.

Whether they can or cannot, they do. Just as does everyone else in battle. When creatures like these are heated, they kill and torture with impunity, regardless of race or religion. There is no excuse but this level of depravity becomes the norm and the enemy becomes more and more dehumanized.

It is known that America routinely ships off prisoners for torture to Egypt, Jordan and Syria. Surely these torturers are Muslim.

Saddam considered many of his victims to be captives of war. Of course war never mattered to him.. EITHER

The problem with links like the one you provided is, they are fantasy when real life comes around. Most of these people are not religious or spiritual anyhow. They are lower than beasts and serve Satan so how can you expect them to obey the rules?

there is a nasty video doing the rounds of chechens decapitating a young russian russian conscript with a shovel. i was shown it on a mobile phone and it made me feel like vomiting. if i can find it on the net i will sent the address to you. the trouble is most followers of any religion can find some justification in their holy texts for what ever they do, no matter how barbaric.

Muslims are commanded by using Allah Almighty to handle their Captives with kindness and to feed them! "They carry out (their) vows, and that they concern an afternoon Whose evil flies in all locations. and that they feed, for the affection of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive -- (asserting), 'We feed you For the sake of Allah on my own: No reward do we want from you, nor thank you.' (The Noble Quran, seventy six:7-9)" In those Noble Verses, we of course see how Allah Almighty orders the Muslims to handle their captives with kindness and to no longer assume something back in return. Muslims might desire to do it for the affection of Allah Almighty, for this reason they might desire to feed their captives in kindness and love. word additionally in Noble Verse 5:34 that the door for mercy and forgiveness for the trustworthy enemy is open. The Muslims can no longer do any injury to the enemy if the enemy repents. Did Prophet Muhammad ever abuse or kill any of his Captives or take own revenges from them? extremely no longer! Killing captives is forbidden in Islam, apart from people who deserve it which contain war criminals as of course shown.

muslims are not allowed to torture prisoner of war but instead treat them nicely like their brothers . thats what islam teaches us but ppl do opposite of it i m in pakistan and i agree ppl here r taught to torture and they do it in a bad way .
many good men left the police cuz of their bad attitude towards the prisoners.
and u kno very well

muslim = one who follows teaching of islam

non muslim= who doesnt follow teachings of islam

when a person doesnt follow what islam says then he fits in the second eqation i said bout non muslim . even if he is muslim by name. he wud still fit in second equation.
ALLAH said i might forgiv ur sins that r just b/w ur personality but i will not forgiv those ones that u do by hurting other ppl (physically and mentally)

he is non muslim and he will b punished by ALLAH.

so yes is necessary to treat prisoner of war like nicely bcuz they also have children they r also human they also have some family .
and if muslim torture then he is doing non muslim act and he cant b called muslim

so from this we do see there r very few real muslims on this earth .

the rest of ppl r just muslims by name and they r just putting stain on the name of islam and call themself muslim

i even heard one man claiming himself to b muslim and saying i will bomb all the world who doesnt accept islam

will ALLAH forgiv him nope he wont that man is not working on teachings of islam

i think i did solve the confusion
