Is there anything I can take in pregnancy for my allergies? My Doctor says no, as allergy meds have steriods in them which could damage the baby. I've tried Vicks jelly (rub it on your chest) for my congestion which didn't work. I can hardly breathe, can't stop sneezing and wheezing, and my nose is running constantly. Is there anything I can take, I'm desperate x

Drink lots of water, and use a lot of steam. And get whatever you're allergic to out of your environment.

Vacuum a lot, dust with a damp cloth or with a product like Endust frequently, and wash your bedding and perhaps your curtains to get the dust and other allergens out of it. And consider getting an air cleaner to pull stuff out of the air.

And yes, get Hubby to help too.

Good luck!

Yep, your doctor is right as any mediciation can do damage to the baby. Therefore, it is best for you to try natural remedies.
If Vicks didn't work for you, perhaps you can try to put some Vicks onto your chest and nose, while inhaling hot steam for 10 mins, It helps you to breath better. Also take plenty of vitatim Cs and drink lots of water. Good luck :)

Chlorphenramine-That's what my gynae prescribed for me during my pregnancy. Remember to take your multi-vitamins and also ask for Vitamin C when you show sign of going down with flu. Drink plenty of water and rest well.
