I think we are simply put, people striving to follow the Bible. If you believe the Bible is the word of God and you wish to follow it, and wish to be aligned with a religious group that is trying to follow the Bible, then I would suggest becoming a Witness. Ultimately you need to think about it deeply. It is fine to get the opinions of others but PLEASE do not let the opinions of others be THE deciding factor.

Hi. you and i are in the same boat. The only difference is that i am not a witness (yet). I am confused though in a way because i know Jehovah's Witnesses are the true religion based on what i have read not only on their New World Translation but to my own bible the King Jame's Version. If an individual is serioulsy looking for some true answers, that individual will not hesitate to compare and really give a thought which religion is really living up to the Bible. The Bible has high moral standards and there are strict guidelines to follow to reach those high moral standards. I only see that strict guidelines in JWs.
I'm confused because if JW is the true religion then why is it so hard for me to convert? Some tell me because JW are not christians but a cult but sometimes i think it's the opposite. I think it's hard for me to convert because i cannot live up to the standards of a true Christian.
I envy you because you were a JW... to me, you already embraced the truth but you left. Well, now i don't know what is worse. Embracing the truth and then leave? Or know the truth but not actually live by the truth and not be guilty of leaving it??? Did that make sense? Well, i hope you find what you're looking for..... and I hope i accept what i have already found.

Immediately, the questioner should begin praying in faith for God's assistance and direction in this matter.
(1 John 5:15) We know we are to have the things asked since we have asked them of him.
Secondly, the questioner should not hesitate to read the bible immediately. Even if a printed copy is unavailable, the entire text is freely available on the internet:
http://jehovantodistajat.fi/e/bible/
http://www.hti.umich.edu/r/rsv/
http://www.hti.umich.edu/k/kjv/
Thirdly, the questioner should not hesitate to share even his limited understanding of the Christian "good news" with friends, neighbors, relatives, etc.
(Mark 13:10) the good news has to be preached first
Fourthly, the questioner can get true Christians to come to him in his home and together they can read and study the bible!
(Matthew 18:20) For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.
Such a visit can be requested at no charge, by writing to a nearby address or using the online form at:

The important thing is to insist that any discussion or meeting use the bible as the only authority. Too many churches elevate human tradition and philosophy of men over God's Word the Holy Bible. Consider also whether the church has an organized program whereby all its adherents preach publicly as Jesus commanded.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Once you have found the truth of the bible, you will always see the hypocrisy of other beliefs.
There is a sister in my hall whose son never became a witness, got into drugs etc..., but he told her that she ruined the world for him. Because she had trained him to have morals and a conscience, so now he can't truly enjoy all the badness in the world, because it bothers his conscience.
Was she wrong in doing that, no, hopefully it will help him get his life in order someday.
Why not give Jehovah one more try and see what happens.

It's tough after coming from being in a religion which dominates your life that much. I was also raised JW, and once I left the religion I spent a long time confused. What I finally did was to openly read the Bible, and also to read books on Buddhism, Hinduism, various Christian sects, etc. just absorbing everything I could looking for the answer. I let myself consider the possibilities all religions offered, as well as the possibility that God did not exist. Finally, I came away with an answer I was comfortable with.
In the end, I really feel that religion can't be forced onto you, you need to accept it. Try new things, allow yourself to be open to the possibilities of whatever else may be out there, and you'll find the answer you're looking for. Good luck.

Josh, sounds like you have been bitten by snake (the original serpent) and its vanum is affecting your entire body (spiritually speaking). Right now the same snake that bit you is wrapping itself around you. What's worst, it squeezes you each time you breath to eventually choke you to death. That's why you are confused. You know what? Why don't you use your teeth to bite the snake back and free yourself to seek antidote. The antidote (God's word the Bible) is available everywhere. I suggest you go straight to the genuine Pharmacy (Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses) and get the genuine antidote to help sustain your last breath. Other Pharmacies they don't care about you so they'll sell you very expensive antidote with major side effects.
Pardon me, for forgetting to mention that Kingdom Halls offered variety of antidotes to people free of charge. Why? Because they care about everyone's life. They will give you the best antidote available.

I suppose you're asking if we believe that you used to be a Witness or not. We're not able to know if it is so.
GOD is the only one fittingly described as omnipotent and omniscient --almighty and all-knowing.
"When Abram got to be ninety-nine years old, then Jehovah appeared to A′bram and said to him: “I am God Almighty. Walk before me and prove yourself faultless." -- Genesis 17:1
"And there is not a creation that is not manifest to his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom we have an accounting." -- Hebrews 4:13
“We thank you, Jehovah God, the Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and begun ruling as king." -- Revelation 11:17

Jehovah's witnesses aren't false. They are the only ones who really respect what the Bible says. They did not change the Bible. These accusations have the purpose to stain their reputation. Interestingly, the Bible says that Jesus' true disciples were about to go through the same thing.
"Happy are YOU when people reproach YOU and persecute YOU and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against YOU for my sake. Rejoice and leap for joy, since YOUR reward is great in the heavens; for in that way they persecuted the prophets prior to YOU." -- Matthew 5:11,12
"If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU." -- John 15:18,19

Iam not sure when you say you 'used to be.' Are you inactive or disfellowed (or disfellowshipped, im not sure which word, i hear the latter a lot but i personally believe the right word is disfellowed)?
Last week, a disfellowed (?) brother was welcomed back into our congregation, it was supposedly a serious event but because of the overwhelming feeling of joy, we clapped in welcoming him. I felt like maybe that is how Jehovah feels when his lost son came back home.
I bet Jehovah will be really happy to welcome you and so are your brothers and sisters.

Jehovah Witnesses are false. JW have wrong, twisted beliefs and they have changed the Bible dramatically in order to suit there own beliefs. I agree, religions is a terribly confusing thing. However if you seek God through a true, living relationship with Him (Jesus made this possible by suffering and paying the price for our sins), you will be free from this religious supermarket we are calling Earth.
I hope you find the Truth
