poem1:
"WHEN GOD CALLS LITTLE CHILDREN"
When God calls little children
to dwell with him above,
We mortals sometime question
the wisdom of his love
For no heartache compares with
the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world,
seem wonderful and mild
Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to his fold,
So He picks a rosebud,
before he can grow old.
God knows how much we need them,
and so he takes but a few
To make the land of Heaven
more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult still
somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye."
So when a little child departs
we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children,
Angels are hard to find.
poem 2:
It's hard to know just what to say,
When one so young is taken away.
Far too soon she had to part,
Her memory forever engraved in our heart.
We only knew her for a short while,
But the life she led made us smile.
She was so beautiful and oh so rare,
Life as they say just isn't fair.
Those gone before her will watch her with care,
Till the day comes when we'll all join her there.
Know (child's name) is watching from heaven above,
And with each ray of sunshine, she's sending her love.

Babies are angels that fly to the earth.
Their wings disappear at the time of their birth.
One look in their eyes and we're never the same,
They're part of us now and that part has a name.
That part is your heart and a bond that won't sever.
Our Babies are Angels, and we’ll love them forever.
~Author Unknown~
This is a poem that my aunt has as a caption on a picture of her son who died when he was 2 years old. It is so difficult to lose a child.

I lost a child - what will be really important to your friends is that you never shy away from talking about their daughter - I don't mean obsessively, but the best thing you can give them is the ability to be able to say her name every once and a while.
I'd put in your card that you'll always be there if they need to talk about it - and mean it.

some words can make them more sad. i want to avoid them.already they must be sad. we got to console them. best i thin k is : just give it a try !!
****the lives of the earth are belonging to god or nature. when they live with us as our own, we believe they are our own, we love them, play with them, their smile enchants us, enlightens us, makes them forget our fights, worries, tension. but when we go through such separations which is beyond our control, we come to realise the reality that is holding us and is in hiding. Pray for the child, wherever she/he is. Let us believe god takes care of the souls better than us. Cause he loves them. They are an inseparable part of HIM. In return for our love for the child, letus make our minds to visit, orphanage and take the same young children in our hands, give them love them, feed them, stay with them on a sunday every month and this will be just like being with the lost child.
Let us not worry out the past, as if we could have done something. Our life belongs to the earth, the planets, the gods. We too are not going to be permanent here. ***
sorry i could not write more, the smile of the baby would have caused much happiness in them, thank god, the child did not die after living for more years, it would hve been more sad.

I am so sorry for thier loss, I couldn't imagine... I googled "poems of lost child" and things along those lines, just sort through them..try this one.... http://www.angelfire.com/hi2/motherswithangels/poems11.html
I also found this poem...
God’s Lent Child.
“I’ll lend you for a little while
A child of mine” God said –
For you to love the while he lives
and mourn for when he’s dead.
It may be six or seven years
or forty two or three
but will you, till I call him back,
take care of him for me?
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you
and, should his stay be brief,
you’ll have his nicest memories
as solace for his grief.
I cannot promise he will stay,
since all from earth return
but, there are lessons taught below,
I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked the whole world over,
in my search for teachers true,
and from the things that crowd life’s lane
I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love,
nor think the labour vain,
nor hate me when I come to take
this lent child back again?
I fancied that I heard them say,
“Dear Lord Thy Will Be Done”
for all the joys thy child will bring
the risk of grief will run.
We’ll shelter him with tenderness,
we’ll love him while we may,
and for the happiness we’ve known
forever grateful stay.
But, should thy Angels call for him
much sooner than we planned,
we’ll brave the grief that comes
and try to understand.
