If you were to have a doctor induce menopause, it would be surgically or pharmaceutically.

Otherwise it wouldn't be induced. It would just happen.

The ways menopause just happens - the ovary runs out of eggs or the levels of hormones in the menstrual cycle become deficient and not able to maintain the ripening of follicles towards the release of eggs.

Other conditions can "induce" a menopause
- ovarian torsion and ischemic damage to the ovaries
- ovarian infection
- pelvic cancers, either ovarian cancers or cancers arising from other structures spreading to the ovaries

It would be very bad malpractice for a doctor to INDUCE a menopause using one of these methods.

Or are you asking if there are herbal or alternative methods to induce menopause?

Unfortunately, yes. Had it done before hysterectomy, the drug is called Lupron, given in a shot once a month. If you are doing this just to not have a monthly, don't. The side effects are so not worth it. Since this was chemically induced, the side effects were not as easily controlled.

As it is, had the shots at 26, the hysterectomy at 29, and now going thru it again! Please just let nature take its course, menopause is not all that it is cut out to be, but yes, I do like not having my period!
