It's false.
Two weeks ago the Pres. of The Archbishops of Italy declared publicly that homosexuality, incest and pedophilia are "one in the same".
That same day a 16 year old gay boy committed suicide by jumping from the balconey of his family's apartment in Turin.

"2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition. "~Catechism of the Catholic Church
This is the official teaching of the Church dispite those that say there is not one.
The Catholic Church does not consider being homosexual a sin. Now where in the bible does it state homosexuality is a sin (it states certain acts are disordered to the natural law of reproduction( but no where does it state that homosexulaity love or sexual attraction for a same sex person is a sin or even unnatural just that it breaks the procreative power of the sexual act which is the sin.
Heathen below me: then I am a Catholic is contradicting the teachings of his own church which is clearly stated in the Catechism

The state of being a homosexual was described by the late Pope John Paul II as (paraphrasing): a cross one must bear [in complete celibacy and as chaste as a newborn].
Homosexual ACTIVITY is still classed as a sin.
"Love the sinner. Hate the sin." An improvement for the Roman Catholic Church...but not enough - given the tales one hears of the goings on in seminaries.

Kind of.
Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity.
The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.
The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."
With love in Christ.

Where did you hear this? Most Catholics I know follow the Bible.
As far as this tendency is concerned, there has been some incidence of priests abusing young boys. But this does not mean that Catholics have universally begun to advocate homosexuality. According to the Bible, it is "sin."

Wrong answer! The Bible and Nature both say no to homosexuality!
SEX is for new life only! The fact that humans make a mire out of it does not detract from its purpose, to bring forth life!
Have you ever seen any one snatched out of some ones butt hole? Does the sperm cell have anything to do with human waste?
Christianity's authority is the Bible! The book of Revaluation, This is the word of GOD, nothing shall be added, nothing shall be taken away.
It also says, false Prophets will come and go and say all manner of things in the name of GOD and the lord, that we should keep a watch out for them and not ensnared into their
sinful ways!
No christian faith can support homosexuality because in more than three books, it declares it a sin, to the point of both persons being stoned to death, to being out casts because of their former sin full ways. The bible leaves not one iota of space for those who transgress against the the dignity of male and female.
When you see the catholic church marry to males then you will have your answer!

Who cares what the Catholic Church thinks about homosexuality?
After all the priest abuse scandals that they tried to cover up, how does the Catholic Church still have any moral authority on the issue of sexuality in the first place?

They can't agree on anything. -Which is why I left. What individual Catholics think and believe has no bearing on what the Church officially does. Something like that would have to be decreed by the Pope, and if so, we'd certainly hear about it on the News. Not agreeing that it is a sin isn't the same as agreeing that it isn't. So tune in to the Vatican news channel for breaking news if such a turn in thinking actually comes about.

Sin is a man made concept and is used as a marker by christians to judge others.Something they are not supposed to do (hypocrisy again?).
As long as 2 people love each other then they should have the right to be together regardless of their sexes
