I have gained too much weight..and I admit that I ate bad junky foods...and now I even get some back aches..and I am now "unthrilled" with this weight problems...I hate it!! I know that I tend to get a "big tummy" more...because much of my
"stress" goes straight to that particular area! But, I need to know, if there are any places online that could advise me on gentle excercises..and also which foods, help to lose better, and which foods, to eat a whole lot less of!?
I am also a type two diabetic...and have to be better with my foods, and very careful.....I used to be "regular weight" for my 5"3 size, but, now I am what doctors and others would consider "obese" (I may not look like it , to some people...but, to put it another way...I look like I am pregnant, with one! )Just not healthy at all, for me! Feels terrible as well!
What can I look into , and be safe at the same time...?Any web sites, support groups online?

Thanks!!!!

If you have even some excercises that would be best with a "tummy" like mine..that is something I really want to look into as well. I did start doing gentle sit ups...but, after that, I felt "sick" to my stomach!(I had only done about six and a few lighter sit ups..on my bed!, I don't do it on the ground..as it hurts me alot...and I feel more pain..everywhere!)
Plus, people in the past have told me to do these types of things, very gradually...so I don't "over-do-it"!!

I really want to live...but, at the rate I am going I won't! I just want to be "at a normal weight.for my height..and no more aches ,pains, and feeling tired and out of breath!"It sometimes really frightens me! I still get lectures from others family or otherwise, who are worried about me! Heck! I am worried too, but, I sure don't seem to be able to prove this!!!
I do walking..but, not everyday...weather has been nasty, lately!

ideas anybody?

Mmm, my idea is to be a little active in sporty stuff... I like tennis. Something not too hard, but makes your metabolism get faster. And also, you should drink lots of water and don't eat a lot of food during your meals... Eat small portions and snack healthy every two hours or so (when you're hungry... But try not eating every half a minute, so at least 2 hours.) .... I personally like the water... But too much is not good...

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention, "diets" *Shakes head* Baaaad idea. Because a diet is a way a person eats... If you stop eating a lot of the junk and eat healthy, it'll be best... Don't try those "veggie diets" or whetever, just start replacing chips for an apple or celery. Do NOT try diet pills... Waste of money and they are wacked because you never know what might be in them. One time, a long time ago, a pill had worm eggs that eats your food and nutrients. The people who used it got skinnier, but they had worms in their stomach. And they started lacking nutrients.

Hello, Ladyk....I am so proud of you!!! You sound so ready to make some changes that will benefit your health for life..
www.doctorsfornutrition.com DOWNLOAD the FREE e-book and start reading,,,,it has about 29 pages of terrific information and some products to try (mine are ordered)
This program can help you completely rebalance your body and more than likely get you off some drugs..(if you take em)
I know just how you feel about being overweight...Up until 2003 I wasn't morbidly obese either...My doctor got a high number on my A1c and without even asking me any questions put me on insulin shots...My weight shot up from 240 with an additional 100 pounds as a side effect. I am very tall 5'11 1/2" . .It has been so horrible to see people look at me when I go anywhere. So I know how you feel...Long story short,,,when I found out the insulin was responsible for my weight,,, I asked HOW do I get off this stuff....So I took another look at my diet made the changes and I got off the shots within 3 months and lost 35 lbs...No one will ever convince me this didn't do somekind of damage to my body because even after all that the weight started creeping right back up...I couldn't believe it...Then last Nov 06, I started seeing a Certified Nutritional Therapist and I have been on a biotic protocol and have really worked so hard...I weighed in today at 307. I was 340 in nov. I still need to get a walking program started and I'm working that in every couple of days..My goal is to walk 30-60 min every day...
My sister promised me a new watch when I get UNDER 300...and I am almost there...yeah...It's pink,,,my favorite....
When you get to the website it will give you the BEST information that your looking for...They are selling a product that will help you if you can get it...Try to do the 21 day plan and see how it goes...
Another thing that will help you the most is to go OFF all grain products until you re-stabilize your weight.
When you eat and gain weight...it means your body is not handling what your eating...The is ILLNESS plain and simple.
The other thing I want to talk about is Sugar...It's a drug!! It is also addictive. It is also NOT on natural product in the bag on the grocery shelf...It's been bleached. Splenda also a chlorinated product.
If you need a sweetner for things...go to a health food store and get a bottle of liquid STEVIA....just follow the directions.
That sums me up for now...I would be available if you'd like to stay in touch...

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

I used a weight loss plan called Shapeworks and lost 95 lbs in 8 months and I did no exercise to do it. I took 8" off my wiast from a tight 44 to a loose 36. It is a very healthy plan to follow and when I visited this website, I also got a great coach to help me. the website is www.loseweightnow.com/tfward. This plan is also excellent for diabetics, my stepsister is a type 2 diabetic and she is doing well on it. Check it out!

Congratulations on taking the first step towards a more fit, healthier you! I'd advice you to start slowly by adding healthy food to your diet and moving more. Get of the bus a stop before at work, walk the stairs instead of taking the lift etc. Don't try to make the change over night. Slow, but steady does it!

there is no way we get to choose which body part to lose the weight off - it has to be overall weight loss. your belly is just one part your body likes to keep its fat reserves.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Take time once a 1 week to plan out and go shopping for meals and snacks so you're prepared whenever hunger strikes.
