I've never been able to quit for an extended period of time. I don't like being dependent on any sort of drug, even if it's "just" caffeine. Otherwise, I'm really healthy - eat well, drink lots of water, exercise, and all that.

I really need my stovetop-brewed espresso every day or it's not going to be a good day. I have given up soda. I have gone to caffeine free teas, but that bit of coffee is crucial. I like it, so I keeping that habit.

If you feel you must, just cut back until you're satisfied. Either quit totally or to nearly gone.

Whenever I want to stop my addiction to caffeine for the first couple of days I will take an excedrin. It has caffeine in it so it takes the edge off. Then the 3rd day I don't get a headache.

i was a big coffee drinker min of 6 cups a day, basically lived off it. i just gradually cut back little at a time as i found i was getting horrible headaches when i totally stopped. just wean yourself off it slowly. i went down to 4 cups the 1st week 3 cups the 2nd week. now my limit is 2 cups a day, still got to have that 1st cup to wake up in a morning tho.

you drink honey water with lime. you can drink green tea. where there is a will there is a way. i was also a coffee addict. i tried drinking these two and now i can live without coffee.

Me, too. I like coffee, coke, etc.
Just try to cut back a little during the night so you can sleep.Then cut back just a little more.

Either buy light coffee ..or use half decaff added to your regular coffee - which will help you taper down without withdrawal symptoms .
