I am tired of other Christians making light of homosexuality. It is one thing for a person to have gay thoughts, it is another to actually act on them over and over again.

In Leviticus, Chapter 20, Verse 13, it says:

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them."

It clearly says there in the Bible that gays should be put to death.

Now, I think that maybe times have changed and maybe the death penalty isn't always warranted for gays, but why would God say this if it wasn't a really, really bad sin?

The Bible is the word of God. Homosexuality is wrong. To deny this is ant-Christian and I am tired of fellow Christians acting like it's no big deal. That only encourages gays to do behavior that will make them burn in Hell forever when they die?

What are your thoughts?

Gays are human beings and persons will be sturdy or evil they make those options contained in the acts they do yet committing one evil act makes no longer someone evil as an entire a sturdy guy can commit an evil act so your question can no longer technically be replied with a unmarried answer what different acts does this gay commit if this man or woman rapes and murders persons of a similar sex then they're evil yet in the adventure that they are homosexuals who volunteer at a protect and help the homeless then they don't seem to be evil they in straightforward words have the single evil act that they commit.

>>Gays are evil?

Duh. ALL sinners are evil. Each and every one of us. That is why we need a savior in the first place.

>>I am tired of other Christians making light of homosexuality.

I agree. We have forgotten the seriousness of sin. All the people who answer with things like "Don't judge" (a verse that is taken WAY out of context, by the way. Most people don't even know what it really means to "judge") and "hate the sin, love the sinner" have lost touch with our purpose as Christians on the Earth. We are not here to "live and let live." No, we are hear to preach the Good News about Christ. Unfortunately, many people don't know the bad news yet, that their sins will condemn them to hell if they do not accept Christ. We MUST preach the bad news in order to preach the Good News. Not speaking out about homosexuality is judging, not the opposite. If we keep quite about homosexuality being a sin we are, in effect, judging that homosexuals are not worthy of being saved, so we should just let them be.

>>It is one thing for a person to have gay thoughts, it is another to actually act on them over and over again.

I agree with you, but that isn't really the point, is it? The point is that homosexuals (and Christians, for that matter) need to understand that homosexuality is a sin. Christians need to seek out homosexuals and share the Gospel with them, and as a result homosexuals must repent of their sins, with a sincere desire to change their ways.

First of all, there were LOTS of sins that warranted the death penalty. You are being a bit unfair to pick this one out to show that this is such a huge sin. Disobeying your parents also warranted being stoned to death. If we were not shown any mercy under the law I don't believe that ANYONE would have been able to escape the death penealty.

Adultry was also a sin that warranted the death penalty. When a woman that was caught in act of committing adultry was brought before Jesus he did not say that they should stone her, but rather that she should be shown mercy. THERE IS NO REASON EVER TO WARRANT THE DEATH PENALTY FOR GAYS NOW. NOT EVER.

However, it is not true that homosexuality is "no worse" than any other sin. 1 Corinthians 6:18 - "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body."

We need to stop thinking that other peope's sin is none of our business. 1 Timothy 3:16 - "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."

You know, I believe in God, but I am also gay. I do not believe that the bible is the word of God. The bible was written by man. What man is to say what the word of God is for they are not God. Why is it such a problem for people who are not gay? Gay people are just as good and worthy of happiness just like any other human. For all of the people who are so anti-gay and hateful but claim to be so religious and believe that the words from the bible came straight from God, the bible also states only God can judge so they are all hypocrites right? For once why cant everyone just mind there own business because you are not perfect yourself and no one constantly judges you based on all of your flaws or what you feel, who you love, and how you live your life!!!

You are refering to Old Testament Law, everything changed when Jesus came. A homosexual is NOT evil, and any Christan that says so is wrong and going against what God wants by saying it. A homosexual is no worse a sinner than anyone else. The lifestyle is not what God intended, but there is no sin that is greater than the next. You need to read your entire Bible and study it closely before you make damaging statements like this that make Christians look like terrible people. Your behavior only causes people to reject the truth.

My thoughts?

You make me think of this little snippet I found online once, and I think it sums it up quite nicely.

Dear Dr. Laura,

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.

a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

g) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?

i) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help.

Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

Your devoted disciple and adoring fan.

The Bible is the word of crazy men yelling at the desert 3000 years ago. It's an awful place to go for morality or wisdom. It frequently advocates the death penalty for trivial offenses, it approves of genocide, and it demonizes every other culture on the planet.

Gay people are human beings who are trying to get along in this world and find love and happiness as well as they can. Do you really think that some Bronze Age book is an effective response to that? What's wrong with you?

yes. They infect others with HIV for fun, worship meth dealers as gods, and have no morals. To rape a child is fine, if a meth dealer says so. To infect an innocent person with HIV is for them fun.
I am not a religious bystander, I am a victim of the LGBT community,. They destroy lives for fun,
So yes, they are evil.

Wow, after reading a few of the responces, it's amazing how little people know about Christianity and the Bible. It's also amazing how many liberal myths are held as fact to these people.

You are absolutely correct. The Bible calls for execution for a homosexual act. It also says that God will punish those who have committed the abomination. Where did you think AIDS came from?

I think they should put you to death. I am not gay - but I bet you a bunch of money you are. You want the *** of a man so bad you can't even see straight. You are like ted haggard - just feining for an asshole while preaching hate and ignorance.

Get a grip - the bible is a fraud. If you live your life by it you are nothing but an idiot. the old testament clearly states that you should kill your children. In Mark 7:9-7:10 Jesus criticizes the Jews for not stoning disobedient children to death in accordance with Old Testament law. (See Ex. 21:15, Lev. 20:9, Dt 21:18-21)
