Had you logged onto lds.org or mormon.org you could have read the basic beliefs the LDS Church has about our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Through the divine investiture of the Father, Jehovah the Firstborn, or Jesus Christ, created the earth and all that we know surrounding it. He is our Savior and Redeemer, our intermediary to the Father in Heaven and the only path by which we may return to the Father's presence.

His glorified body is immortal and perfected, just as His Father's body is immortal and perfected. They are two separate and distinct Holy Entities.

Jesus Christ is also the prophet prophesied to come into the world as shown in biblical and Book of Mormon scriptures. What sets Him apart from all other prophets is that He is the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind on all the worlds He had created.

Jesus Christ is our Savior and our Lord, of course. We also believe Christ is the only begotten Son of God. This is exactly why we are a Christian sect!

I'm not sure why anyone would even try to spin this belief to make it appear that LDS don't believe Christ is the Savior. I mean, our faith is centered around the Lord Jesus Christ, hence the official name of the Church. Anyone who tries to spin this primary belief into something it isn't obviously isn't stating the facts. Oh well. It's not like we haven't seen it before.

We do believe that he is our savior, he was also a prophet of God. It looks like you got a lot of answers from other people who aren't mormon bc they were a little misguided in their response. I suggest talking with the missionaries in your area about any questions you may have. Or you can email me anytime lol. I am a convert to the church as of last year. Any questions you have that I am not sure about, I will ask the missionaries or my president. I won't just guess or make something up.
Take care,
Sarah

They believe Jesus is the savior. More specifically, he was the first son of God, and we were all the later sons and daughters of God. We all lived in heaven prior to being born, and are all brothers and sisters, children of God.

They believe Jesus is both as one with God, in essence and divinity, and also a seperate being, forming the trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

They believe that Jesus, under the instruction of God, created the earth.

The prophets are the prophets of the bible, the various scriptures, and the presidents of the LDS church.

The answer above me is a troll... he's lying about being a Mormon.

I'm Mormon and the real name of the Mormon church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Jesus is my Lord and Savior. He is the Only Begotten Son and is the redeemer of all mankind.

Good day to you! :)

This is a quote from the official website of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-Day Saints (Mormon is actually just a nickname):

"Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was the Creator, He is our Savior, and He will be our Judge.

Under the direction of our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ created the earth (John 1:10; Hebrews 1:2).

When Jesus lived on the earth (approximately 2,000 years ago), He led a perfect life. He taught by word and example how people should live in love of God and others.

Through His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and by giving His life on the cross—that is, by performing the Atonement—Jesus Christ saves us from our sins (1 Peter 2:21) as we follow Him. Because of the Atonement, you can be forgiven of your sins when you sincerely repent (Book of Mormon, Mosiah 26:30).

Through His Resurrection, Jesus Christ saved us from death. Because He overcame death, we will all be given the gift of resurrection (Acts 24:15; 1 Corinthians 15:22). When life on this earth is over, Jesus Christ will be the final Judge (Acts 17:31; John 5:21–22; Acts 10:42). "

Thanks

Savior.

Yes, we believe that the Jesus of the New Testament visited the Americas... Guess He felt the people in the Americas deserved to have the same teachings as the people of the Middle East...

He did mention the people of the Americas to His followers after His resurection, "Other sheep I have which are not of this fold..." He told them that He needed to go and teach these "other sheep"... and He did. He was their Savior too, y'know....

He is our savior. He died for us. He atoned for our sins. I know people on here say that we don't believe in the same Christ of the bible, but we do. We read the bible, we study the bible, we believe in the bible. The Christ that is in the bible is the same Christ that allows us to return to our Father in Heaven, and to Him.

It is true, we believe that after His resurrection, He came here to America to visit and teach the people that were here. Is that so wrong? He did say that He had other sheep that had to hear the gospel, so it would make sense that He would visit other continents on the earth.

Christ is my redeemer. He is my friend. It is through Him we are saved.

I forgot to say that we don't believe in the trinity. We believe that God and Christ are two separate beings, acting as one to bring about Their purpose. Together, with the Holy Ghost, They make up the Godhead. Christ IS God's son. He is His only begotten. But we don't believe that He is part of God, or that God and Christ are the same being. Here are some websites that will explain more!!

We believe Jesus Christ is the Saviour. He spoke to Heavenly Father constantly and received revelation upon revelation for the world, therefore he was a prophet. It is through Him that we can be saved.

The LDS (Mormon) Church believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world, and that only by him may all mankind be saved. He is our redeemer, and atoned for our sins. He is the head of the church and we worship him as our savior.
The official title of the church, which detractors seem to ignore, is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints."
