I can not honestly say that I am a big fan or follower of this group of people but come on folks. Asking other people why other people are wrong and have a different understanding about something is just plain silly.
Why not ask God Himself to explain these great "mysteries" to you? He is more than capable of answering these inquiries and giving much more insightful thought and revelation than any of us ever could.
If we are to be examples of what it means to follow and live and think as Jesus, why the ridicule and judgement?
Is this what Jesus meant when He told us to "love your neighbor as yourself"?

Just for clarity, I have done research on the history of J.W. and the Watchtower Society. Perhaps some of these reading this question should do the same including J.W. practioners.

Also, I am not a "hater" of them at all. I am merely concerned about this sudden influx of slandering statements against a certain group of people.

I do my best to love and pray for everyone regardless of who they are or what they believe. After all, Jesus prayed for forgiveness for all those who mocked, beat, and crucified Him. If I am to be like Him in every way, I have to learn to be like Him in every way.

True we should love our neighbor but we are also supposed to protect our faith. I once thought it was great how they go about talking of God and then one day(had begun again to read the bible at that time) wwhen asked if I would like to have a bible study agreed. So twice weekly they would come ,always come in two's,and they would do bible study BUT first they would read from their Study book which would quote bible passages and its only then that the bible was used to look up the scriptural passages. I later realized that after class when I read the whole chapter not just the passage quoted the meaning wa different than what was written in their study guide. Then I found at a Good will Sale a Book(love antique Books) written by their second Founder was excited for thought one of the ladies who'd come would be so thrilled when I gave for was such a enthusiastic Jehovah Wittness but after I began reading was stunned at the Heresy I was reading esp that their Belief is that Jesus Christ is Not God that He and St. Michael the archangel are the same> IN Hebrews 3 chapters talk of Jesus not being a angel and although I read that to them ignored so decided brainwashed and although still welcome in my house could no longer allow them to speak this heresy for would endanger my soul. Christianity means followers of Jesus Christ-God and if you take the God away from Jesus Christ then you can not be a Christian and it has no value. Of course they are wrong, they are a cult and their sole purpose is to pull people away from Christianity. They are not monsters BUT neither are they Christians. Christians have a responsibility to find out who comes to their door for Jehovah Wittnesses misrepresent themselves. Feel badly for them for are terribly misguided and they will be held responsible for every person they pull away from Jesus Christ,God. Had ben studying with them for quite some time and believe the Holy Spirit must have led me to find that book for finding out who they really are saved my soul. Now when they come I ask if they still believe that Jesus Christ and St.Michael are the ame that Jesus is a angel and then after they acknowledge tell them then I cannot allow them to speak their heresy in my house. They do not come to my door that much anymore for think word has gotten out that I am lost-actually am found.

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Firstly, thank you for the polite question.

Secondly, I too have noticed the number of questions about my beliefs has increased. At one point there were over 50 listings, just under the word Jehovah. I thought before it was because of our memorial observance. which was on April 2nd. But the number is staying high. When I first came on Y!A I thought it was surprising when there were around 30 open.

Honestly, some who ask Qs about us/our beliefs, seem to have genuine Questions about what we believe and why. I wish they would take the time to get the information from us, real world, where they can make sure what they told is actually what we believe.

Others on here ask Qs for the same reasons they answer them. They see it as their "duty" to give what they feel is honest information about how "wrong" we are.

Still others seem to do it just to be spiteful. Some of the profiles I have looked at show that it is simply for their amusement, as they go after most religions, just one at a time.

Despite the amount of people who seem to really be out to smear us, I try to make ALL my answers polite and accurate.

The answer by one of the poster is incorrect. Considering there are only around 60 Q's about Witnesses and there hundreds of open Q's in R&S and that most of them are CLEARLY not from a Witness perspective, I would hardly say Most are by/about Witnesses.

EDIT
Today as I look around at the Q's I notice allot of them are the same, either in intent or the same, as in word for word, though by different IDs. It seems once one person asks a Q, others feel it should be asked by them.

We are interesting people!

But some people are not so much interested in knowing about Witnesses, as in opposing us, or preaching to us.

Just as Jesus said they would do these things.

But we are happy to answer the questions of those who really want to know about us.

Someone mentioned the "Knocking" video. That has very good information on Jehovah's Witnesses, and it will be on TV next month. (May) The video is also available now from:

We are a worldwide group of Christians who believe in Jehovah God and the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior. We follow Jesus' command to "Go, therefore, and teach all nations..."

I think it's because Yahoo Answers is a new forum that has given JWs the opportunity to ask and respond to numerous questions. No other denomination are as active on here. So the increased interest has more to do with JWs putting themselves out there, rather than increased interest by those looking for them and their teachings. In many ways, their efforts are working against them, not for them, since the attention is negative or in disagreement. Bible says you will know them by their fruits of bringing peace, love, and joy. Not disagreement, argument, and defensiveness.
