I would just like to post this post for prayers for all who were affected by the VA Tech incident yesterday. I beleive the family of the young man responsibile also deserves to be prayed for, I am sure they are struggling as well. May the souls of those killed, as well as that of the shooter rest in God's Glory and may the shooter be forgiven as well by our Lord and Savior.

I won't disregard anyone's answers, however, I do do my part in making a difference in other ways than prayer. Words are often times just as important as actions if not more so.
I know that actions must compliment the words and thoughts we have, but in the incidence that occurred, the only option right now is to pray for the people who are in mourning and offer them our presence and comfort. My God is good and He will help. He is amazing, and just as you tell me to stop wasting my time, you may as well save your own breath by telling me I am wrong for requesting solace in something that gives so many personal peace and do your own part to make the world a better place.. How have you done so today? Prayer is more powerful than you think, it's words turned into divine action, but those who do not believe cannot understand that so there is no point in trying to reason.

I do not pray cuz this can be a myth. However, in the event you don't seem to be gonna hassle any individual, move forward and pray. Prayer is authorized in college incidentally. Close your eyes and pray for a moment or 2 and nobody will hassle you. It is ORGANIZED prayer that's no longer allowed, like what the ones Christians desire. (They will have to arm one of the most well persons. Then they might have shot that nut.)

once again, amen. may the lord be with them through this hard time... & may the families of the innocent seek God for comfort and help through it all. he is light. he is the way. & those who mock him... it is better to be hanged by a millstone and thrown into the deepest sea, then to have mocked the lord.
& to peter d... this world will NEVER become a better place until jesus returns. only he can make this place better. not you not me... not anybody else. Give all Glory to the Lord.
God Bless.

There is no use praying for people who are already dead - their eternal fate has already been decided. It does make meaning to pray for those affected and their families and also that those people who are affected will turn to God and repent so that they may also be saved. And lets also pray for our friends and loved ones and for ourselves as well, that we also may not have to go through such an incident - Come let us return to the Lord and seek more his face.

Your god is omniscient. He knows what you're thinking and what your desires are. Prayer is a waste of time. Try actually helping people through actions, instead of words.

Edit: Don't give me a thumb down without addressing my points. Please. Kthxbi.

Don't waste your time.

Instead of mumbling some words of well-meaning and remembrance why don't you resolve to make this world a better place than you found it?
