Uh, cause they're not?

10 Commandments:
1. Have no other gods before God.
2. Don't take the Lord's name in vain.
3. Observe the Sabbath, keep it holy.
4. Honor your parents.
5. Don't murder.
6. Don't commit adultery.
7. Don't steal.
8. Don't lie.
9. Don't covet your neighbor's wife.
10. Don't covet your neighbor's stuff.

Buddhist Eightfold Path (note that there is 8, not 10)
1. Right view
2. Right intention
3. Right speech
4. Right action
5. Right livelihood
6. Right effort
7. Right mindfulness
8. Right concentration

Yes, some are similar or intend the same ends because some parts of ethical behavior are nearly universal in human experience, like lying and stealing. They aren't the same, however, because the 10 commandments have a great deal to do with proper behavior toward God and Buddhism is atheistic.

Edited:

Buddhism started about 528 BCE, 528/529 years before Jesus was born (depending on how you count). Buddha died 483 BCE, almost 500 years before Jesus was born.

The question is are we. the answer is not any. after we come to him in faith we modify into voters of a clean united states. we are now lower than new guidelines. We no stay lower than the low of grace, no longer lower than the regulation of sin and shortage of life. So what extra needs be carried out. once you've confessed Jesus as Lord and trust that he replaced into raised from the useless you'd be kept. there is not any longer something extra you want to do, he did it. Now as to the sin situation. something it truly is not any longer God is sin. Any theory that you've it truly is not any longer God's is sin. so that you do not could do to sin, you are able to sit down on your chair and sin. contained in the precise all it does it element you decrease back to you want for a Savior. that's the objective of the regulation. As Paul placed it, the regulation is the single which lead us to faith which brings us to salvation. If there replaced into no regulation you'll not recognize you had damaged God's will. it must be like those those who've each and each of the unstated guidelines and are in basic terms mad at you and also you not in any respect recognize why. Thank goodness God is compared to them. He enable us recognize that we had failed Him and He gave us a in the previous to Him via Christ.

2: The later ones were copied from the earlier ones.
