I hav to book airline tickets urgently.So i wish to use my International Debit card to book these..Can we use it ...The Website is asking a credit card Master or VISA...my Debit Card has a Symbol of VISA....Please its Urgent.........

theres a good chance you can use it.
But if anything happens, you won't have any recourse as you would if you used a credit card.
But check with the bank and the airlines to be sure of what's involved.

No you cannot use ur debit card to book online tickets. You can use ur internet banking account to do so. Only www.yatra.com currently allows the facility of using internet banking enabled account. Other websites still insist on using credit cards only.
www.cleartrip.com also has a cash pickup facility, so you check that website as well. You can book ur ticket and pay them cash when the ticket is delivered to you. But there again you need to pay a min of 750 rupees per ticket thru ur credit card.

I use my debit card to book airline flights all the time without a problem. Might want to talk to your bank first though to make sure they don't have a "daily max limit" on the card. For me, normally I can't spend more than $700 in one transaction but my bank can remove the daily maximum for 24hours so that I can do things like purchase big items.

I doubt if you can use it online. I too have an UTI Bank international debit card, but it is not accepted anywhere on the internet. I think all Debit Cards issued by INDIAN Banks are the same. They are not accepted online. Wonder why it is so.

if its for domestic flight tickets in India , then the ticketscan be bought BUT ... the problem is , if you are not travelling , then the person who is travelling with those tickets , has to have a copyof the card attested with your signature
all the bestifyou are tryingto book itonline , most of thesites are pretty slow
try indiatimes or the a agent at yatra.com or indianairlines or their sister airline expreess

yes hdfc debit card can be used for booking tickets when enter the name it asks for card member's name.enter card no.and then cvv no.in the end in cvv field which is 3 digit card written on back side of card and then press ok that's it.

Yes you can. Go the the website http://vikimap.org and you can do an online payment. I have tried it myself. Had done a booking for Goa in December. I was really fast
