i recently purchased a microsoft office 2007, it indicates that licensed up to 3pc's. does it mean that i can only use it for 3 times regardless of no.s of pc?

You can use it as often as you wish, but you can legally install it on only three computers. Gosh! Wouldn't be very useful if you could use it only three times!

If it is a 3-license, you can install on 3 different PCs.
As to the number of times you can install, you may only be able to install on each computer once -- maybe twice if you don't make major changes to the computer. Microsoft is continually taking measures to prevent piracy.
A few months ago I attempted to install a legal program on another computer and was told that I had exceeded the number of times the program could be installed. That was the end of that. Had to buy an upgrade.

This means that legally, you are only allowed to install that copy of Microsoft Office 2007 on three computers at one time. Now it might let you install it on more then three computers but then your doing something liilgeal which you might not want to do. Now if you need to install it on four computers desperately then you can and it wont be so bad, but microsoft is only worried about the big stuff like people that install one copy of there software on 100,000,000 computers. Which would be a big case of Piracy.

If it has a license for use on three computers that is all you can put it own legally and it be updated and get customer support for. But I believe if your computer crashed or you bought a new one to replace one you have it installed own and you have original key code from CD you can install again.
If you are in doubt contact Microsoft customer support and ask.

No, you can install it as many times as you want. Technically, you have to limit yourself to three computers. But you can reinstall as many times as you wish.
