According to the gnostics Jesus wasn’t crucified at all, and he continued to teach after his “resurrection” [spiritual awakening] for another 11 years.

Note also in the end of John’s gospel where the writer gives this away by saying that he “did so much that I suppose the whole world could not contain all the books that could be written.” How do you do that in 40 days?

He appeared to his disciples to show proof that he had arisen from the dead. He strengthened them by encouraging them to remain faithful. You can read about this in the final books of Matthew, Luke and John, also in Acts chapter 1.

He didnt stay for 40 days... I think you got it mixed up.
Jesus (before he was crucified) spent 40 days in the desert fasting, and he was then tempted by the devil.

No one really knows what He did other then visit His followers. Scripture doesn't state it. But we do know that He could appear and disappear whenever or wherever He wanted.

Wouldn't he go to his ma's house and rest a spell? After
all, he had a lot on his shoulders.
