Senator Robert C. Byrd, Democrat from WV plays fiddle. He used to play his fiddle in front of the coal mines as he campaigned. Even today he's considered one of the best traditional fiddlers in the country. Gentleman, too. Nice man. Extremely well respected.

Fritz Kreisler, classical violinist, was a medical doctor during WW1.

Shirley Temple Black was a child actor in the 1930's She was ambassador to the country of Ghana

Keep up the music. Your stage training will come in handy.

there is an organization in Los Angeles that is called "The Doctors' Symphony". the members are all either MDs or PhDs in their various fields. I would imagine there are a few legal people around as well.
they hire in students and other musicians to fill up the spots where there are fewer doctor-players. My husband subbed in on French horn during his student years to fill out the section.
They are very dedicated amateurs ( in the best sense of the word) and play at a high standard.
Perhaps there's something similar in your area?
