LOL! So, does it take an act of kindness to get people talking instead of arguing???

Ladies and gentlemen...first of all, the drinks I am passing around are whatever drink you choose. I'm drinking Wild Cherry Pepsi, but as long as no one gets behind the wheel, you may choose whatever BEVERAGE you want to drink from my bar.

In my carbonated stupor...or perhaps because I'm almost a College Graduate...I've come to an astounding realization after nearly a year in this forum...When we share something fun like a drinking game, we actually can get along...

So...here's my question...what is it about something as corny as this drinking game that gets people to actually get along?

Hey, if Jesus could sit down with the taxpayers and the sinners, don't you think he probably could sit down with a bunch of people in a bar, even if he didn't drink alcohol?

Yeah...Jesus might drink an alcoholic drink, but I also think he would avoid getting drunk.

I would really really like to believe in you. However, I think that VT is sorta like 9-11. Everyone can unify for just a lil bit. Starting tomorrow morning I have the horrible fear that we will be back to reading questions like Muslims are terrorists, the guy at Virginia Tech had to be Muslim b/c he killed people and all of them should be killed. And Atheists don't you realize you are stupid. and a personal favorite, Don't the Heathens make you sick.

Unfortunately, I think the R&S world will only be at peace for a few moments until the hate is resumed. I wish the act of kindness could turn the forum into an opportunity to ask questions about other faiths and have those questions answered by members of that faith. I'd love to know more about the unique religions on this board.

Thanks for your act of kindness though and I accept your politely passed mango margarita, on the rocks, no salt. If Jesus was here on earth today, I know he'd be in a bar. He would have some alcohol and he would talk to the alcoholics and the hook-up artists--b/c when he did walk the earth (according to the bible) he did spend most of his time with those people.

And drinking is never corny =) It's serious business!

because people are sharing in the same activity and having a drink loosens most people up so they are able to get along better.

Any gathering between the most different of people can happen and be okay if they agree that they have different beliefs and put the differences aside. (basically agree to disagree)

Good and evil could sit at a table if they were to agree to settle differences.
