The crazy thing is this. I've only ever been with my girlfriend and she's only ever been with me. So that rules out an STD cause but still there is a burning sensation. No discharge so it makes me think it's something else. However did the test for a UTI about an hr and a half after the pain first hit and it came up negative. Does it take a while for the results to show?

And to clear everything up we met in high school and have been together since then. And use protection when having sex which has been a while...unfortunatly. Thought that needed to be added.

Sometimes a UTI infection might not show up initially, especially in the beginning stages. Cranberry juice works wonders on UTIs. Also, it could be a kidney infection. Watch for color changes in your urine; if the urine is especially cloudy or has bits of blood in it, see a doctor right away. If none of those symptoms occur and the burning continues for another day, I'd go back in for another urinalysis. I'd also ask you not have sexual relations with your girlfriend in case she gets infected too.

There are three things I can think of; syphilis, gonorrhea, and a urinary infection. You should have your doctor check you out. In the mean time drink lots of cranberry juice. It will help to clear up the infection.

A simple urinary tract infection? Or any pain, blood in the urine? Maybe passing tiny stones. Is scrotum tender? Only a doctor can really tell.

wow, I think you set the record for shortest interval between symptom and lab result! Perhaps, in this case, the incubation period was not completed yet. Yes, take another test for both STD and NSU (non-specific urethritis)

Being faithful is great, but this doesn't rule out STDs.
Burning can a sign of some type of infection -- could be viral or bacterial. It could be related to kidney or bladder issues as well.
Chat with a doctor.

Get tested for UTI again. Then get tested for STD's . Girls do lie my friend especially about that especially if you really haven't been with anyone else.

Ask your pathologist to do a urine culture, things will be clear after that.
