Ok, I'm the type that is easily stressed out over the simple things. I've suffered from stress migrians (I'm 14 by the way) I'll get close to panic attacks. I get a lot of anxiety, ect. Everyone keeps telling me to calm down and relax, but I can't. I've tried deep breaths, drinking some water, counting to ten, ect, but I cannot find a solution that works for me. Anyone have any ideas at all. I've been dealing with stress for awhile, but I've just moved. My third day of school, not from missing everyone, but stress, I just broke down crying. I usually don't go that far, but migrians are really annoying too. Any ideas that I've not already stated?

Also, I'm in school most of the day, so although running and jogging do help me out sometimes that's just not an option when I'm in the middle of an Algebra test, or learning about Madame Curie.

Any ideas for during school? If you have any other ones those are also much apperciated, but I really need some during the day.

Not many scriptures in the Bible describe how the Savior grew up in his early years, or detail what he young life was like. But from what little there is, when can glean a lot. For example, in the very last verse of Luke, Chapter 2, we can learn that Jesus grew and devloped along four differning parts or areas. That scripture says: verse 52, "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."

If we focus our own life into those four areas and set goals or objectives in each, we too can overcome challenges and improve our lives.

"Increased in wisdom": implies that Jesus grew and developed intellectually-----look over all that you have accomplished in this area and recognize all of the good you have doen. Pat yourself on the back. Set continuing goals for yourself in this area and look at doing things to improve.

"Increased in stature" implies the Jesus grew and developed physically. Look at what you might do to improve yurself in this area. Perhaps it might mean that you look at what you eat, and manage your diet. Perhaps it might mean that you get a little more exercise. Walking, running, bicycle riding might help with your physical developemnt.

"Increased in favor with God" suggests that the Savior grew spiritually as well. Look over your accomplishments in this area of your life and set goals to grew here too. this might mean being more regualr in prayer, reading the word of God, or attending worship services. It also might mean doing a good deed regualrly for someone else. Take a plate of "chocolate" (smile) cookies over to a neighbor or widow. Can I say that relatively nothing helps reduce stress or tension more than doing a kind deed for another. It can pump us up, the best kind of "high" anyone can receive.

"Growing in favor with man" implies that the Savior developed a social aspect of his life. Review all of your social accomplishments and acknowledge to yourself what you have done there. Look at setting additonal goals in this area. Is there a potential new firend just waiting for you to smile at them at school tomorrow? Set some goals for yourself in the social area.

The scriptures can be a good source of comfort and help in times of stress and worry.

My final word about stress. Try something called "self-talk." We do this all of the time. When we have abig taks to do, tell yourself things like, "I can do this." "This isn't so bad." "I am not going to die from this assignment" "I can do this." "I can take this one step at a time, and I will be ok."

Teach yourself that things are ok and learn to settle yourself down by repeating supportive phrases to yourself. If there is not a friend or family member who is avialbe to do this support talk, what I am saying is, you can learn to do it to yourself. Give it a try. It just might help.

When all else fails, know that chocolate is an essential nutrient. (Smile)

YOGA! I can't stress that enough. I to suffered from panic attacks and anxiety and yoga has done wonders for me. Yoga will teach you breathing techniques that you can use whenever you feel stressed-even at school. You are way too young to be suffering from stress related anxiety. Give yoga a try.Check out a hatha or vinyasa class. Also a restorative class would be helpful for you. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Good Luck!

Hi that's a hard one to live with. I was the same as you and it drove me crazy. I can say as I have gotten older it has got a lot easier and not so stressful. I would get migraines for the simplest of things and my hormones would drive me mad a long with it. I am sure once you get used to moving and get a little older it will calm down for you as well. Try to focus on something else anything but yourself. Like talk to a friend that needs you rearrange your school bag anything I mean anything that will take your focus off what is stressing you out and onto something else.
