Jehovah God has provided the bible and the holy spirit (along with prayer, the Christ and the Christian congregation). An individual human demonstrates his intention to serve God and Christ by the manner in which he submits to these leadings.

(2 Timothy 3:14-17) Continue in the things that you learned and were persuaded to believe... All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

(2 Timothy 2:15-19) Do your utmost to present yourself approved to God, a workman with nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of the truth aright. ..."Jehovah knows those who belong to him,” and: “Let everyone naming the name of Jehovah renounce unrighteousness.”

Of course, it is up to God and Christ to actually accept the work and worship of these Christian Witnesses.

(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen

(John 15:15-16) All the things I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you, and I appointed you to go on and keep bearing fruit

A true Christian can be seen by the "fruitage of the spirit", along with other outward signs.

(Galatians 5:22-23) The fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control.

I assume you mean chosen to be of the Anointed Class or Born Again of the Holy Spirit?

Only the person, themselves, can say how they know. From outward appearance, you don't know the person is of the anointed until Nisan 14 and see who partakes of the emblems. They don't go declaring they are born again, they do not ask for, or are offered any special positions in the society, and they don't try to prove it by spewing a bunch of unrecognizable words, than claim it is the language of the angels.

As for their reward in heaven. They are going to be working the whole time for 1000 years, supervising those living on Earth. It is not a power position, as it lacks compensation or personal gain from it. Also, the Bible is mute on what happens to them, and those resurrected, after the 1000 years is up.

I was one for 18 years and left about 4 years ago. I met one of these "chosen ones" she was in our congegration. I asked her the same as you and she said it was an overwhelming "feeling" that God had chosen her and that enstead of desiring a life of living forever on the earth as a righteous person, her main desire was to live in heaven to rule with God over the earth for the 1000 year reign of Christ. She said she KNEW it was her assignment and she couldn't explain it any other way. Hope this helps some.

I think you are asking How do we decide to be Witnesses? (If this is not it, let me know:D)

The way various ones are "found" is most often because someone who is a Witness shares what we know, the person decides to learn more, and then progresses from there.

As for how we decide to be Witnesses. It is kinda hard to say over typing, but basicly, it comes down to some simple decisions. Do we believe in God?? Do we wish to serve him/live as he wants? Do we think the Bible is from him, and that we should follow it? If yes to all of these, then comes the question, what group(s) seem(s) to be striving to follow the Bible? Based on these, I am a Witness. I wish/strive to live according to God's word. I see the our beliefs seem to be in accord with the Bible. If we see something that does not go along with Bible principles than we realise we need to alter our lives/views, both as individuals, and as a group, to follow the Bible closer. Hope that made sense:D

Hope this helps

When you hear something said, you either take heed of it or dismiss it. It's that way with Jehovah's Witnesses. If someone were to tell me about Jesus and I was interested I would listen. If I had no spiritual side I would turn away.
Personally I heard the truth all of my young life but I was a kid. And I was a Catholic. We did not use the bible because the mass was in Latin. I went to catechism but all I learned was that Adam and Eve were the first man and woman. I learned that there were different kinds of sins but not much else.
But from the time Jehovah's Witnesses walked up to me when I was grown I was learning and they were proving everything from the bible. I learned more in 1 hour than I had learned my whole life.
I had a bible study once a week for about an hour. I asked questions and they answered them. I started going to the Kingdom Hall with my Husband and children. We were sopping up bible knowledge very quickly and after about a year and a half we were baptized.
It has been a lifetime of joy and happiness and also peace of mind knowing I am serving the One True God Jehovah and making his heart glad.
He will soon sweep the wicked off of the earth and make way for the meek to inherit it and live forever.

They earnestly endeavor to be no part of the world, as Jesus said would be true of his followers. They show genuine Christian love for their neighbors, but they do not share in the politics or the wars of any nation. They provide for the material needs of their families but shun the world's avid pursuit of material things and personal fame and its excessive indulgence in pleasure.

Regardless of a person's past way of life he may become one of Jehovah's Witnesses if he abandons practices condemed by God's Word and applies its godly counsel. But if anyone thereafter makes a practice of adultery, fornication, homosexuality, drug abuse, drunkeness, lying, or stealing, he will be disfellowshipped from the organization.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and instead of adhering to a creed based on human tradition, they hold to the Bible as the standard for all their beliefs.

They worship Jehovah as the only true God and freely speak to others about him and his loving purposes toward mankind. Anyone who publicly witnesses about Jehovah is usually indentified as belonging to the one group "Jehovah's Witnesses."

They believe that the dead are conscious of absolutely nothing; that they are experiencing neither pain nor pleasure in some spirit realm; that they do not exist except in god's memory, so hope for their future life lies in a resurrection from the dead.

Jesus as a jew was born in Palestine, but Christianity is not a Palestinian religion, is it? The place of Jesus' human birth is not the most important factor to Jehovah God, who deals impartially with people of all nations. - John 14:10; Acts 10:34,35.

I thought they chose to be a JW.......I think the idea that God would only allow "certain" folks into Heaven with Him, is discrimination and not like God at all. For all Christians who have accepted Jesus will go to Heaven. Do they really believe only 144,000 will get to go to Heaven? If so, don't they think the spots are already taken?

Well you see satan goes thur the world looking for those dumb enoof to believe anything and then he tells them Jesus is just the arch. angle micheal no matter what the bible states. Then if they are dumb enoof to say ok that sounds right a angles must have blood. Jesus was just a angle and he is not really the son of God. And then satan tells them they are special God loves only them and that only a 144,000 of them can go to heaven because God is now a respector of person and that his blood is limited to only being able to save 144,000. Now i know the bible states that 144,000 are from the nation of Israel and 12,000 from each literal tribe. But John Made a mistake when he wrote what God said. Now that they are dumb enoof to believe anything lets tell them that Jesus did not die on a cross. Even with all the drawing the apostles drew and the word cross in dozens of scriptures in the bible. If they will believe this one they are mine for all times and now all i have to get them to do is preach this proverted gosple and they will increase the people going to hell my thousands upon thousands. So Satans chosen are selected on the fact that they are of a week mind and to dumb to do any research.

they don't know for sure...they try to perform enough works to gain admittance into the 440,000 that they think will enter the kingdom of God. According to Jehovah's Witnesses, the rest will live on but not in the kingdom.

Sadly for those who believe that, the only options for eternity in all reality are Heaven by faith in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection and His saving power, or Hell if one chooses not to accept Jesus as Savior.

They know for sure because the man-made organization called "The Watchtower" tells them what to believe and how to believe it.

2 Peter 2:1
[ False Teachers and Their Destruction ] But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.
