God is a Trinity: Father, Word/Son & Holy Spirit.
Man is whole & in the image of God before the fall: body, soul & spirit.
After sin, man couldn't eat of the Tree of Life so died spiritually. Man physically died within an day/age (1000yrs). So man is mostly body & soul (like the animals) because their spirit is blind/dead. Jesus said that to see the Kingdom of God, one must be born again.
So, Mankind was in Gods image then & when one is born again: born of His Spirit, cleansed by His Blood, joint heirs with King Jesus, part of the family of God; then one is in the image of God. Where we enter into Gods rest/best by abiding in Christ 24/7.
The humans one can consider an animal, is one that their flesh rules their soul decisions.

God's image and likeness is not the physical form we have. Our image to God is Our soul and our likeness is His Righteousness. Our soul sought for a body or vehicle that will serve our purpose and activities. Whatever we are as living things comparable to animals it is the only way logical enough to function in the world of dense matter. The body can be discarded.

Humans are considered animals because we function in many of the same ways that animals do, but that only makes sense since we all live on the same planet. God said "let us create man in our image" (Genesis 1:26) He created humans to be set apart from animals.

We're the animal made in the image of satan, only an EVOLVED one. A mammal he uses as his "hosts," or did you think the perfect Father in heaven created this flawed species?? did you see the NBC news that DNA tests show we are 90% same with monkeys?? have notice some with darker color if put more hair and take the clothing you could not tell the difference !!
