i expected more adverse reactions ,plainly those who relied on their god the other day ,were saved by what they did , i have heard 3 miraculous things that happened yesyerday
i also have visions of the swat taking out any one with a gun
these [forgive me god ] fools that say if those students had a gun ,it would not have happened clearly dont know how people get treated with a naked gun by police in a stress full situation
i have visions of one ''good guy'' taking out the next good guy because they saw the last guy shoot some fool with a gun
in the case of everyone having a gun is an absurdity too stupid to contemplate
can you just see the presedent talking to a group locked and l;oaded ,his dudes are just scanning to spot some nut with a gun
to trust god is the only truth ,would you rather face your maker to explain why you got shot or why you shot someone else
if guns are american take god off you money and put your faith in guns ,if not stop listening to fools with guns

AMEN well said, If you have faith in God one does not need a gun. I don't believe God condones murder but we have so much in our country. Maybe we need to do away with Guns not God. In God I trust, so let's do that all guns must be turned in to the police and your reward will be love, peace, and happiness.

Have you ever heard the joke about the man in the flood? It goes something like this:

Once there was a man who was sitting atop his roof during a terrible flood, and he cried out to God, "God save me!"
Eventually, a man in a rowboat came along and offered him safe passage in his rowboat, but the man refused, saying that God would save him.
Later, as the waters got dangerously high, another man in a rowboat offered him save passage, but the man refused, saying the God would save him.
Eventually, the waters came up, and the man drowned. When he got to Heaven he asked God why He had not saved him, and God replied, "I sent you two rowboats y'dummy!"

Haha I think in a way this kind of reflects your question. Although we do rely on God, it does not mean that we should not make ourselves safe (using guns, money, even a rowboat lol)

God isn't against carrying weapons. In fact, there are MANY MANY MANY cases (especially in the Old Testament) where He helps His people in war. God just doesn't want us to misuse our weapons. (Commandment #6 - thou shalt not murder)

As far as money goes, God realizes it is a necessary evil and simply tells us just to be wise with it and to tithe.

No offence but who do you think will turn in there guns? Only the people who have no intention of doing harm to others with them. So, I think I'll keep my 9mm for that unlikely moment that some lunatic with a gun shows up at my place of work or the store I'm shopping in...etc., etc..

All this talk about guns being the against God is a joke. If just one young woman from some "backward" Midwest farm community had quietly reached into her purse and pulled out an "illegal" firearm, they would not have been killed like sheep. All it would have taken is one---just one.

True, true.
Now for truth.
USA is a society founded by and maintained by the Gun. Bought for and paid for the Gun.

That's a totally dumb idea to put you trust in anything when it comes to your security and safety. If we went by your silly belief, we shouldn't have a military or law enforcement. Don't you even think about taking my guns.

If you've got a gun, the other guy can have as much god as he likes but you needn't worry about him.

Or as Napoleon put it when he heard that the Pope had criticized him: "And how many soldiers has the Pope got?"

No, IN GOD WE TRUST is the correct motto.

However, God helps those who help themselves. I trust in God, but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy the company of my M1911A1 .45.

You need a gun to kill God's enemies. God doesn't seem to be able to kill his enemies, so he needs religious people to do it for him.

If Jesus had carried a gun he may have ended up in better shape.
