My younger brother is 5 and loves SpongeBob and Go Diego Go cartoons. We were at the mall and a lady stopped, looked at my brothers hand that had a spongebob and Go Diego Go temporary tattoo and said "I can't believe that. That's extremely disturbing" I was like it's a kids temporary tattoo, chill out. Do you think she was over reacting? Is that really "disturbing" for the majority?

Tattoos are cool and have been around for thousands of years.

whats disturbing is 33 people dead on a campus not some spongebob tat.

Good grief people

Wow I thought everybody wore temp tattoos as a kid. I did and so did my brother, my brother doesn't even like tattoos now and would never get one, me on the other hand is obsessed with them. So getting a temporary tattoo as a kid doesn't even mean you will get a real tattoo as an adult. Yes she was over reacting quite a bit I would say. Temp tattoos are not disturbing just kids being kids.

It's amazing how random women (especially old ladies) feel they can stop you and say stuff if you're with a child. I used to look after my friend's twins once a week, and we could never get through town without being stopped at least once by someone with some daft comment. (Usually "are they twins?" like there was some other way of producing identical same-sized children!)

What disturbs me, really, is that she felt she had any business involving herself in something so harmless and so unconnected wih her. Temporary tattoos don't bother me in the slightest (indeed, I know several small children who draw on their own with felt-tips and cheerfully show them off). So yes, I think she was overreacting completely... although Spongebob himself is fairly freakish - maybe that was what worried her!

Maybe she thought they were real? She is really overreacting, don't worry about it. Kids love temporary tattoos, it doesn't mean or imply anything. Kids had temporary tattoos way before real tattoos became popular. The lady definitely needs to chill.

absolutely overreacting
I used to love the temporary tattoos when I was a kid I'd put them all over myself if I had the chance..
I'm now 55 and no permanent tattoos so it doesn't promote getting real ones from my perspective.
I have gotten henna tattoos though.. they only last a few weeks. LOL

I dont think so, I mean it is the ladys opinon but i really dont think so. She was very much over reacting. I mean kids see all these adults walking around with huge snakes.. and skeleton (etc) atleast they are wearing some harmless Cartoon Charater annd it washes off.

Absolutely, the kids just think they are fun and it's harmless.

This woman needs to get a life there are many things in the world that warrant her concern other than a few kiddie tattoos.

She probably thought it was real and overreacted. The main point is to raise your children with their best interest at heart, and not letting others affect your decision-making. And if Spongebob temporary tats make em feel good about themselves, then so be it.

Hey, I gave my son SpongeBob temporary tats in his Easter basket and it was his favorite item...
just some food for thought :-)

That's absurd. All kids love those fake tattoos and I guess she thinks that leads to more disturbing tattoos as an adult.

The key word here is "temporary". If it was a real tattoo, THAT would be disturbing.
