The part that stands out most in your question is in the end: you aren't happy. I'm sure you're absolutely beautiful and the guys love you, but if you aren't happy, what anyone else says won't change that.

I think you should try to lose more weight not because you need to, but because you want to. After all, a healthy diet you can learn from trying to lose weight will be important in maintaining your weight too. Just promise not to get too carried away... eating disorders aren't beautiful!

Honestly. I'm 5'8"and wear an 11/12, and coming from my point of view, a 16's fine. Supposedly a girl who's 5'8" is supposed to weigh between 130 and 164 lbs to have an average BMI. People however aren't all average. Some people have a larger bone structure, or more muscle, so I don't even find that as a good comparison. Also, going down to a 16 in a month and a half!!! Not good. You want gradual weight loss...no more than say 5-10lbs a month, and even that may be pushing it. I know what it's like to want to lose weight. I weigh about 165, but I used to weigh 190...I got involved in things at school to take my mind off of food all the time, and I only ate some sort of junk food maybe once a week. I also started walking/bike riding because I wasn't happy. But, that's not what I did at first. I was upset that I was "fat" so I went through a week of vigorous exercise and not eating...but that doesn't help, and it's BAD! Also, remember, if you lose wight too fast, it'l only come back faster. Plus, hun, don't lose weight for honks from guys, lose weight for yourself. Don't lose weight so people at your school will see you differently. Lose weight for yourself. Any 60 year old mexican guy driving down the street has is hand already strategically positioned over the horn to honk at the first thing with two legs and boobs...I'd have to say there's no "perfect" weight for anyone. Two people may be the same height and the same weight, but look completely different. Just...stay healthy hun, don't hurt yourself and be stupid, lose the wieght gradually with exercise and healthy eating...Stay safe!

Firstly, congratulations on your weight loss....although losing that much weight in under 2 months is a bit extreme. How much weight did you lose?

As for 'perfect' size, there really isn't one. It depends on your build, body shape, fat distribution, body composition....not to mention one store's size 12 is another store's size 10 or 14.

You only need to worry about two things:

1) Body Fat Percentage - For females, this should be no more than 32%, but 28% or less is optimal.

2) Waist Measurement - This should be no more than half your height in inches, so for you no more than 34 inches.

If both of these are good, then you are good. Clothes size is really pretty irrelevant and I find comments such as so and so size is overweight extremely ignorant, with no regard for the person's build, level of body fat or how the fat is distributed.

Take care : )

Wow that is great that you were able to loose the weight. I'm sure you look great but if you're 5'8" and in a size 16, you are still considered overweight. Size 10 or 12 is a great goal. At 5'8" , a perfect "medeium sized" weight is anywhere from 136-150lbs. Anything over 167 is overweight.

I'm also 5'8" and I weigh 165 and squeeze into size 10. I've recently gained weight and the extra flub makes me feel sloppy and uncomfortable although guys tend to like the extra junk in my trunk if you know what I mean. I was more comfortable at a size 8 so that's what I'm pushing for. However, at a size 8, I tend to get told that I need to eat but it's usually by people that have become used to seeing me thicker bundled with the "super-sized" American culture. I think people tend to forget what "healthy" looks like.

So I say go ahead and loose the weight if that's what you want to do. It will probably make you feel more comfortable and if you feel too thin, trust me, it's very easy to gain it back. As long as you're comfortable and confident on the inside, it will radiate outwards and you will be attractive no matter what size you are. I know that sounds cliche but it's very true.

There is no size considered perfect. Everyone has different body types. You have to be at a size that you're happy. Don't let your only intention be for other guys to look at you and hit on you. That is not a good reason to lose weight. The reason should be for you to look better and feel better about yourself.

well i'm 5' 4" and my ideal size would be a 7-8

my sister is 5' 11 1/2"
and she's anywhere between a 11 and a 14

so part of it is how you carry it. and part of it is just preference. if you want to be smaller go for it. as long as it's not an obsession and you do it the right way, no puking and no starving. eating healthy and good excersie. you feel healthy and sexy. and you won't have to keep felling like you are. good luck chica and remeber. love your self, strive for excellence, but don't obsess. there are things sooooo much more important in life and you are beautiful. no matter what societies over critically brain washed standard is.

Well...I'm 5'7", weigh 139 pounds and wear a size 6. I also have a thin bone frame and I'm very long waisted. I look taller than I really am.

I have a lot of muscle mass. My job is very physical, which requires me to stay in shape.

It's how you view yourself. How do you think you look? Are you happy with your size now? Don't worry about what other people think. Be happy with yourself.

its not about size, its more about being healthy- reducing body fat percentage, gaining (not losing) muscle and being fit.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

IT ALL HAS TO ODO WITH BALANCE AND BONE STRUCTURE AND AGE !
in today's society big is beautiful but these are the same that will have problems of heart and bone as well
being small is no hindrance to life just remember to leave some body fat it is necessary to preserve your health in illness age is also a factor there is no clear cut answer even by the accounts of our worldly "drs"
