Genesis 4:17 says, "Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch." Who was his wife? It is implied in the biblical text that Cain married one of his sisters. Several facts lead us to this conclusion.
First, it is clear that Adam and Eve had a number of children. Genesis 5:4 says, "After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters." Since Adam and Eve were the first man and woman, and since God had commanded them (and their descendants) to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28), it seems reasonable to conclude that Cain married one of his many sisters. It is also possible that he married a niece or even a grandniece.
One must keep in mind that in the early years of the human race there were no genetic defects that had yet developed as a result of the fall of man. By the time of Abraham, God had not yet declared this kind of marriage to be contrary to His will (see Genesis 20:12). Laws governing incest apparently did not become enacted until the time of Moses (Lev 18:7-17; 20:11,12,14,17,20,21). Hence, there was no prohibition regarding marrying a sister (or niece or grandniece) in the days of Cain.

It was cain and abel. Yes, there were others here. The Bible says much more than what your reading into it. Also, looking at ancient hebrew texts is a good idea. If you read the Bible, you will see that even Giants existed. Noahs flood happened. Parting of the red sea, happened, white slavery was a reality then. You are not reading it all.....Cain was sent off and found a wife, it never says there were not others before, how can things be RE created, if things hadnt existed ? God RE created.

Common sense needs to be applied here. The Bible is not specific, nor does it mention the daughters born of Adam and Eve. Yet they became the wives of their brothers. The next generation or so supplied nieces that became wives, particularly to Cain as he had married a niece before he went to the land of Nod.
Such a concept is not new for the Egyptian rulers practiced incest commonly to keep the throne within the family.

Read Genesis 4:14-18 and answer who the others were that God and Cain talked about killing him (Cain). An eye opener that I missed for many years as well as others have. Could have been cro-magna, neanderthal, or other bi-peds that evolutionists argue that we evolved from. Also through science and earlier in genesis, the difference may have been the BREATH (spirit) given to the first true humans.

Some say Adam and Eve are symbolic of man and woman. However if they were two actual people that started the human race, it is possible they had daughters. Remember, females in general were not considered noteworthy except usually in their marriage to their husband, or an exceptions like Queen Esther or the harlot Rahab.

This is Jewish scripture from the Hebrew Bible. I agree,it's a lot of fairy tales. I don't knowhow the early church fathers could have over-ridden St. Marcion and stuck it on the Gospel, particularly since Jewish and Christian teachings are entirely antithetical. But I do wish you people would direct your questions appropriately; there is a site called Ask The Rabbi. Few mainstream Christians ever read the so-called OT.

Nope, the bible makes mention of the land of Nod. The book of Genesis is from the Hebrew texts, what we don't have in the Christian text is Adam's first wife made at the same time he was. Her name was Lilith. She was banished first to the land of Nod for fornicating with the animals.
Lilith is also where the myth of lycanthropy (werewolves) comes from.
This ommision of a key player is why people get confused as to how Cain had a wife and kid.

Sisters, dude.
Perfect genetics at the beginning, easy to create a race from two perfect original specimens. Geometric progression of coupling.
It's pretty simple.

Cain killed Abel
that being said, Adam and Eve lived over 900 years and had many sons and daughters, who then had sons and daughters and so on and so on and so on.
Genetics were pretty pure back then, so incest was not a problem.
blessings :)
