DENTISTS NEED X-RAYS TO PROPERLY DIAGOSE DISEASE.
DID YOU KNOW YOU GET MORE X-RAYS FROM AN AIPLANE FLIGHT FROM CALIFORNIA TO NEW YORK THAN WITH A COMPLETE SET OF DENTAL X-RAYS?
ONLY A VERY STUPID DENTIST WOULD WORK ON A PERSON W/O HAVING ANY X-RAYS.

Absolutely not! Why would you want them to do that? Would you expect a surgeon to do surgery on you without x-rays? That would be complete ignorance on a dentists part to do work on someone without having an x-ray of the tooth. How else are they to know how deep the decay is, where the pulp chamber is, how long the roots are, if there is an abcess?
If you manage to find some dentist to do that, you probably should ask yourself what kind of dentist he is. Cause I can assure you, its not a very good one.

Proving $ome $ort of "dental x-ray con$piracy" exists, I'm sending this answer. Notice, everyone, how quickly, (within minutes), the "x-rays are good" answers came to this question. Are these folks just ignorant, or are they being paid to give these answers??? It is a scientifically proven fact, that x-rays cause cancer, although this fact can be "obscured", with "muddy water".
X-rays cause cancer, and sometimes horrible, painful death. (But because it occurs many years after the x-rays, you can't prove the dental x-rays caused it.) So, does anyone know the name of ANY dentist(s) who do not require x-rays? The reason you do not know of any such dentist, is that there is definitely a conspiracy to require unnecessary, routine x-rays in dentistry. As is to be expected, the source and reasons for this conspiracy are difficult to determine, and prove. Simplistically, it is simply the tyranny of the medical-malpractice insurance companies that require x-rays, (and this is equivalent to being "required by law", because it means that there is not even one dentist who is allowed to work without x-rays). A grander-scale conspiracy would be that law-enforcement, (perhaps on the Fed. gov. level), has clandestinely put pressure on the insurance companies to require "constant, routine dental x-rays", so that they can identify dead bodies. This makes law-enforcement folks look more "efficient and capable", and since they don't like looking impotent, they are more than happy to (secretly) require that a certain percent of us are given cancer by dentists' x-rays.
In any case, yes, a dentist can, (and will), refuse to work on you without x-rays, (AND refuse to accept any legal "release from liability" you might sign and offer him), with the "plausibly deniable" reason that he would be "outside acceptable dental care limits", if he did not use x-rays. It's a lie, but it's a very well-established, (legalized) lie.

i wouldn't think you would want to go to a dentist who doesn't use a x-ray so he can see what the problem is and also needs it for extractions so he can see how the roots are formed.

Would you expect your doctor to diagnose internal medicine without xrays? I would be highly suspect of a dentist that thought they could do a decent job without them!
