Your Doctor would not prescribe it for you if he/she felt it was harmful for you.

I'm not sure what type of tumors you mean? It doesn't increase the bust, but you may retain more fluid in the body.

Replacement estrogen can increase your risk for cancer, especially breast cancer. It makes many women retain fluid or gain weight. Some see an increase in migraine headaches. I had to stop because my headaches became so severe.

Newer AMA studies have proved that estrogen does not prevent heart disease in women, but it does give you protection by making the bones stronger. So it helps to avoid osteoporosis.

The risks are greater with long term use and higher doses of estrogen.

This website gives women more answers. Ultimately it's a personal choice. If you are concerned, your doctor will have the most recent data.

I've been on a low dose estrogen patch, no progesterone for 5 years thanks to surgery which left me with none. There are always studies weighing the pros and cons from heart disease helped to the low risk of strokes or certain cancers. Bottom line, no one really knows for sure, except that it does help prevent osteoporosis. Overall you need to figure out how much you want to use it. WIthout it I was miserable, hot flashes, headaches, low energy, personal dryness and constant irritation, yuk. A normal dose shoudln't cause breast growth, but it keeps your breasts fuller and younger looking. When I didn't take estrogen for 4 years my bra size didn't go down but my two little friends just seemed kind of deflated, after estrogen they went back to their normal selves. I hope this helps you out.
