I closed the account 2 months ago. I was waiting on a final bill and did notice the account reporting as being closed on my credit report.

They can report whatever they want. If you were late they can still report it. Especially if there is still a remaining balance.

I think as long as it was in good standing when it was closed you should be ok. But instead of waiting for the bill I would call the company to make sure there is no remaining balance left. This way you are done with it completely.

No a creditor cannot report negative information on an account that has been closed. As long as you closed it voluntarily. If there is money owed thats a different story.

???-- Can a company who does not report to credit bureaus or have an account with them, be able to report bad payment or no payment. Like a buy here pay here place or a storage shed building rent to own place??

I would think only if the account was in bad standing, late, never paid, ect...
