Unfortunately you have put yourself at risk.

Child predators are constantly using pictures of friends and family to pose as younger than they really are.

Giving your cell phone number to anyone you do not know is dangerous because technology has advanced. There are pay sites out there that deal specifically with reverse searches from cell numbers. A reverse search is where you put the phone number in and it brings up the name and address of the person who is registered to that number.

If a predator wanted to get your information to track you down he would be able to do it in this way.

Predators have also been known to hire people who can pass as teens to lure their victim deeper into the deception.

I would strongly recommend that you talk to your parents, let them know what you have done and explain that you now understand that your actions put you at risk.

I would also strongly recommend that you never post any of your personal information on the internet under any circumstance because predators are capable of monitoring both public and private chats.

I don't think he can locate you just with your cell number. If he really wanted to find you, he would have already. It's easier to trace where you are via the isp address from your computer. Just don't do that anymore!!! You have to be careful these days! But no, I wouldn't worry.

It is good that you are concerned and being careful! As you probably know, he could be 35! As every one else has said, there are a lot of real creeps out there......continue being very aware of your surroundings and what you do on the Internet!

ok don't mean to sound rude but it's definately not a good idea to give a stranger your number.! and obviously you were planning on giving him personal info on yourself or else you wouldn't be giving your number. you always have to be careful when talking to a stranger online.

your phone number does not let him trace you and if worse comes to worse you can get another number ---- i would suggest you dont arrange a meeting at least for 4 years or more ----- and no if you dont give any more information you should be safe

First of all, you shouldn't give anyone your cell number unless you really know them.
