I'm 23 yrs old and I'm a virgin. I say that with dignity, honor, and respect for myself. I'm an attractive girl (I'm not being stuck-up) but I do believe I'm beautiful inside and out. I know there is a double standard for guys its okay to have sex early...but for girls it is not. I am old-fashioned girl...I was raised up that way and it is apart of my beliefs. But lately, I've been getting lonely because all my girlfriends are getting married. I'm just scared if I'll end up being 40 yrs old, unmarried, and still a virgin. So, when is it the right time and do you think being a virgin for a long time is wierd? Just curious about others opinions.

it is perfectly fine. stick to your beliefs and you will be okay. if you are 40 years old, unmarried and a virgin, it is not because there is something wrong with you, but because you didn't find anyone worthy of giving your virginity to. you will know when the right time is, but don't have sex just because you have a fear of the unknown. if you are as attractive as you say you are, and i don't doubt that you are, every guy wants to be with you. so it is really up to you when and with whom you have sex with.

p.s. if you're feeling lonely, just get a vibrator.

im sorry --- i was a virgin when i got married and wondered why --- now i consider sex an enjoyable act between 2 consenting adults --- for you?? there is no right or wrong time --- when you consider it is time --- saying that make sure its for good reasons --- with someone that truly cares for you somewhere safe comfortable with plenty of time --- the first time is disappointing and it gets better as time and experience passes
