I went to a foot doctor awhile ago just to make sure my feet were okay for track. Well, the doctor discovered a bump on the back of my heel, and he says there is something in there. If it is not gone in a few months, he says he will need to take it out. How would he take it out??

Surgically. It would be numb so you won't feel the pain.

Perhaps you have what is called a spur. It would probably have to be surgically removed.
