There is one book that predicts it will happen. I have been reading it and so far every prediction has come true. The bad part is how it predicts it will end. Fire coming down, earthquakes, mountains falling, people being burnt alive. and something about a worm never dieing. That part I don't get but I'm going along with the rest of it.

The world as a whoile will not end this century, unless Sol decides to forfeit the rest of its 4.5 billion life span and go nova.
Human civilisation will continue on well into the next thousand years.
My own world will end this century, after I die, leaving my legacy and all that I have done to my children and grand children.

Well I don't believe the world will end but I do believe that soon it will change very drastically. The world as we know it will cease to exist after world war 3 and the very little survivors of that war will be plunged back into a time long forgotten but I believe it is only history repeating itself as humans we have never learned from our mistakes.

Not at all. The world will end when our whole galaxy does.
Human existence on the other hand.... who knows. Not this century, but at some point we will probably manage to be the first species to ever make ourselves extinct.

Not me. Do you mean the end of human kind? or the end of the planet? The "world" will be around LONG after we're gone, though it may be much different.

well .. if u believe in christianity then first there will be armegeddon and then Christs return ... and then a 1000 year reign ... and then Satan is released again for a short while ... and then the world will end ... so no ... it will be at least 1000 more years ..

Since I am almost 72, the world will probably end for me in this century.
But as for prophecy, remember prophecy has never been understood until after it was fulfilled.
Try and live your life as if Jesus will come any moment.
