I did not expect this at all. Why is he putting himself down?

the guy i like, yes knows i like him and tells me he does no longer have feelings for me.

recently i tried talking things over with him, like our situation and such. he told me it probably would never happen...

he seems to think that i have built him up to be this perfect person he is not, and he refered to himself as an a** and a pussy a few times. he absolutely is not this way at all, he is a complete gentleman.

why did he put himself down so much?

i feel like there may be something he isnt telling me...

Chances are yes, the other thing is that this type of stuff is mental posion. Why he feels compell'd to posion his own self-concept has you on gaurd. It could just be his own perception of what he does, and YOUR NOT HELPING THAT. Or it could be some bad history he hasn't forgive himself for ether way, your going to f this up. Sorry its simply due to the fact that its better to have a person see how they've earn'd your love as oppose to just giving it to them. People in this frame of mind well fell like there the manupilator, abuser, or the controllor. This is due to the fact that they feel they don't deserve the love that you give so freely. Be careful maybe he can see how he has earn'd it someday. Just don't put to much pressure on him, and fight the poison when you can by explain to him how its foolish to feel that way. Talk about how he has earn'd the right for you to love him. And get him to talk about why he believes these things about himself.
