Sadly, there probably is. When my husband was deployed the first time to Iraq, him and two of his buddies went to use the computers. One of the buddies said "Hey, I want to show you the hot girl I have been talking to". The guy shows the second guy an online picture of his new girlfriend. Turns out it was the second guys wife! Army wives do have a reputation of being unfaithful which causes the faithful wives to automatically be labeled as a cheater.

While "Jarhead" purports to be a true story. it is a story skewed through the eyes of a disgruntled washout of a soldier. it is NOT the norm for military life and does NOT depict what the Typical Marine experiences. The whole cheating wife video that is depicted in the movie has been told many times with nearly every detail changing. The soldier that it happens to must really get around himself as I have heard of him being attached to many different units and being in many parts of the world when he gets the video. As to military wives cheating on service members who are away deployed... well it does happen. Just as Military members cheat on wives and husbands left back home. Just as Civilian wives and husbands cheat on each other. But there are many both civilian and military who do NOT cheat as well. I think the question "Do more women cheat on their military husbands?" is irrelevant. Some people cheat. Some don't. It's as simple as that. Now military life is extremely hard on married life and family life. the long absenses and high worry and stress cause by the potential of death and injury creates great hardship to a family. As such many marriages fail in the military. So divorce rates are high and as a consequence I would guess that rates of infidelity would also be high.

You're a traitor!!! I couldn't live with myself if I cheated with my husband while he's overseas. Cheating on him while he's defending this country! It's because of little girls like you that give the rest of us military spouses a bad name! Shame on you! You don't deserve to be married to him!

If so, I would advise you not to post your picture. It would be sort of like one of those Old West wanted posters with a bounty on your head - I'm sure there are a lot of military guys that look out for their buddies.

Its a very old tradition--as old as time itself--that men returning from wars would find they suddenly had more children. The women would complain that a specter had come in the night and had impregnated them.
This explainations was supposed to make the returning veterans fell better, but I bet it just raised more questions.
